IUTSO is a university institution committed
to excellence in its total educational program.
The institute is located in Barcelona,
Anzotegui State, Venezuela, and is easily
accessible to the surrounding counties: Puerto la
Cruz, Lechera and Guanta.

essential to the well-rounded development of

Venezuela Teachers of English to
Speakers of Other Languages. This
organization was created in 1985. VenTESOL's
mission is to develop expertise in English
teaching and learning in Venezuela. Its main
objectives are to:

Promote the ELT issues studies.
Strengthen the English language
teaching and learning at all educational
levels in Venezuela.
Promote and spread research works in
the ELT area.
Work collaboratively with other teacher
organizations with the same interests.

The annual national convention is a very
successful event and it takes place in May. It's
the biggest event for the year. The annual
VenTESOL National Convention brings
together over 700 professionals.



The IUTSO together with VENTESOL
have established a strategic alliance to develop
the field of teaching, research and extension. As
such programmed the University Day for the
Diagnosis of the learning process of English in
high school students in the Northern Zone of
Anzotegui. The purpose is to assess the
weaknesses that currently faced by high school
students in the process of learning English. In
this order IUTSO students use this information
to strengthen their efforts in the field of
community service, teaching, and research on
the role of supporting the education system and
its institutions in the important field of
development of English as a second language.
The intent is to capture in this first day of
teaching social perception about the manifest
weaknesses in the educational process, whether
they are technical, administrative, educational,
technological, strategic policy, among others.
We hope the perception is raised from the
point of proactive view, function support
teaching that develops in the secondary
education institutions and simultaneously
strengthen the skills of students, studying
languages English mention IUTSO in this dual
task refinement, the effort is directed IUTSO
and VENTESOL.
