This module is an introduction to electric circuits. Its consists of laws and a series of mathematical equations which state the relationships that must hold true in all electric and electronic circuits. Students will be developing an understanding of why electric circuits behave as they do, and will then apply these basic electric circuit principles to more sophisticated electric and electronic systems. This knowledge will assist in forming clear concepts of the physical basis for electric circuit theory, developing the foundation in the Electrical Technology course.

MODULE DESCRIPTION
This module will give student an understanding of the circuits regularly found in domestic premises such as single phase surface wiring, concealed wiring, single phase continuity test, polarity test and insulation test. Electrical wiring in general refers to insulated conductors used to carry electricity, and associated devices. In general aspects of electrical wiring as used to provide power in buildings and structures commonly referred to as building wiring. This module also covers the troubleshooting single phase wiring and fitting fault and troubleshooting for single phase appliances machinery fault.

This module will give student an understanding of the circuits regularly found in domestic premises such as three phase wiring, concealed wiring, conduit wiring, trunking works, fitting & accessories. They also perform fault finding, repairs, testing, cabling works, installation and earthing system installation works comply to IEE/ST regulation. This module also covers the troubleshooting three phase wiring and fitting fault and troubleshooting for single phase appliances machinery fault.
