A Proposal of Four-panel cartoon CAPTCHA Abstract

A CAPTCHA is a technique that is used to prevent automated programs from being able to acquire free e-mail or online service accounts. However, as many researchers have already reported, conventional CAPTCHAs could be overcome by state-of-the-art malwares since the capabilities of computers are approaching those of humans. Therefore, CAPTCHAs should be based on even more advanced human-cognitiveprocessing abilities. n addition, it is also important to !eep in mind that answering CAPTCHAs is an added annoyance for users, who feel troublesome to prove that they are humans at every "eb accesses. #o, CAPTCHAs should be en$oyable for users. To cope with these issues, we have focused on the human ability to understand humor which is considered one of the most advanced human cognitive processing abilities, and already proposed the concept of a new type of Turing test that uses four-panel cartoons, which would ma!e CATPCHAs fun and en$oyable. #o in this paper, we carry out e%perimental studies to confirm the usability of the proposed CAPTCHA. "e have e%plored a new type of CAPTCHA based on the internal meanings contained in images&video&story&etc., such as conte%t, humor, and foreshadowing. n this study, especially, we have focused on the ability to understand humor, which is considered one of the most advanced human cognitive processing abilities. n this four-panel cartoon CAPTCHA, a four-panel cartoon is presented with the four panels rearranged randomly, and a user that is able to respond with the correct order is identified as a human. 'ven if the panels of a four-panel cartoon are rearranged randomly, the human can understand the meaning of the pictures and utterances in each panel, and deduce the order in which the panels must be arranged in order to create a funny story. "e therefore believe that it will be relatively easy for a human to arrange the four panels in the correct order

Proposed System
"e believe that the four-panel cartoon CAPTCHA has an e%tremely high resistance to malware attac!s, because it is considered nearly impossible for malwares to reach a level where they can understand humor, regardless of how advanced the technology might be. (urthermore, because reading cartoons is fun and entertaining for humans, the four-panel cartoon CAPTCHA will most li!ely be seen as an agreeable and en$oyable Turing Test that does not adversely affect convenience for users

Existing system
n e%isting system, has become difficult for automated programs to pass tests )read te%ts* by increasing distortion or noise. However, it has also become difficult for humans to read te%ts. "e therefore need to adopt even more advanced human cognitive processing abilities to enhance CAPTCHA to overcome this problem. To +nown as one of the effective solutions to enhance CAPTCHAs, because image recognition is much harder problem for a machine than character recognition .,
