EvoStep for better fiber control

EvoStep is a new range of worker and doffer wires that feature a unique undercut on the tooth front, which is more pronounced as compared to the angle of the overhang part below the tip. Thanks to this evolutionary step, the fiber taking and holding capacity of EvoStep is up to 30% better compared to conventional wires. The better fiber control significantly improves the transfer ratio, reducing flying fiber, fiber recycling, loading and melting. The combination of these features not only results in a more uniform web quality, it also reduces fiber consumption and waste.

EvoStep is specifically designed for indirect nonwoven manufacturing processes, where cross lapping and needle punching are typically used as bonding technology. This wire is particularly suitable for carding various natural and man-made fibers as well as recycled material like PET fibers, more specifically for the filtration, geotextile, automotive, carpet and bedding industry.

humped teeth. This feature enables the wire to keep fibers closer to the tip of the teeth enabling a more intense carding process and a more efficient neps removal as well as a yarn IPI that is about 20% better as compared with standard cylinder wires. The delicately determined hump depth of each product vouches for an optimized fiber accommodation to facilitate ideal carding process. To accommodate any type of short staple card, Bekaert offers six different types of CTS cylinder wires suitable for any carding application that requires the best possible IPI and NRE values.

With its excellent cost/performance ratio the new ML 46 is the first-choice machine as it permits rapid adaptation to rapidly-changing market demands. In this case, those visiting the exhibition can see for themselves. During ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013 the newcomer will produce net curtains with complex patterns. In addition to the interest in the exhibited ML 46, Bastian Fritsch reckons that there will be many enquiries about the HKS 3-M. 'The universal high-performance tricot machine
