Following the SE orientation and assessment workshops, we will provide a written recommendation regarding Client suitability and readiness, as well as strengths and any concerns related to the Clients business concept and suggestions for improvement. If appropriate, the Client will be referred to the business concept acceptance phase. If the Client is determined as not suitable for referral to the next phase, the Client will be referred back to his/her Case Manager.

MVSES will assist the Client to develop their business concept and the Client will complete the application for SE services, including requesting Financial Supports if necessary. MVSES will provide business concept workshops that assist the Client to develop the business concept and provide individualized support to Clients as needed.
The Client will submit a completed business concept and application for review. At a minimum, the Case Manager and MVSES to assess the Client application and business concept for viability and feasibility will review the business concept jointly.
In addition, we provide the following: A. Self-Assessment Review & Client Plan

2. Wellness & Disability Assessment " An assessment of disability needs and issues, and the potential impact of these on the business; anticipating needs for planning, accommodations, and supports

4. Asset Base Assessment " A detailed assessment of all assets that the entrepreneur brings to business personal, financial, knowledge and skills, networks, etc.
5. Market Assessment " Perform a basic market survey and analysis of results; survey of the competition

The EBVT Report is generated by considering 10 fundamental client inventory assessments. Those assessments include the following:
Client Business Concept and Feasibility Assessment Business Start up Asset Assessment Disability Summary Barriers Related to Employment and Skill Gaps Education and Previous Work History Client Abilities & Strengths Transferable Skills Viability of Business Concept Labour Market Information Training with a Rationale
We may use a Community Review Board for the business concept review process should there be no clear consensus concerning the clients business viability. Clients who are unsuccessful will be referred back to their Case Manager to explore other employment options. Please note that the Community Review Board is not mandatory at this part of the journey.
5.2. 1. 1 Business Plan Development
In the business plan development phase of SE services, the Client will develop the business concept into a viable business plan. MVSES with the assistance of the Community Board and Case Management will assess the viability of the finalized business plan before the Client enters the business launch and implementation phase of SE services. Please note, that a Client is not officially in the Self Employment Program until the Ministry of Social Development approves the individuals business plan. The business plan development phase of SE services will not exceed 10 weeks. MVSES will provide entrepreneurial workshops and individual support to the Client in developing the business plan in the allowable time period; and, Coordinate services and ensure that the Client receives relevant individual or group mentoring and support. MVSES will provide one-on-one coaching for the Client during the business plan development phase to assist the Client to develop the business concept into a business plan and present it for approval.

In the alternative, we may use the services of the Community Review Board for the review process. The Community Review Board is made up of volunteer community representatives with industry, business and community labour market knowledge that could review, recommend approval/non-approval to the Case Manager, provide feedback on business concepts, plans and support the Clients progress in the business launch phase. If the business plan is rejected, the Client will not continue to receive SE services or supports and will be referred back to the Case Manager to revise the Action Plan. If the business plan is accepted, the Client will continue to receive MVSES services for an additional 38 weeks to launch and implement the business. Where a Client needs to secure Financial Supports for launching/maintaining the business, such as a line of credit, business loans and/or start-up financing, MVSES will assist the Client to identify and apply for such supports. At any point in the process, the Client, the Case Manager or MVSES may determine that SE is no longer viable and/or appropriate to continue pursuing. In such cases, the Client will be referred back to the Case Manager to have the Action Plan revised. 5.2.1.2 Entrepreneurial Workshops
Workshops will provide Clients with: o Information about what is involved in becoming successfully self-employed; o Detailed information about the self-employment service; o A more in-depth assessment of the Client's suitability and readiness to undertake self- employment; o Information needed to develop a well thought out business concept; and, o The requirements of a strong application for SE consideration.
Workshops are available when required in the Catchment Area. The Case Manager in consultation with MVSES will offer each Client a minimum of 10 workshops or individual sessions on workshop topics.

MVSES will usually provide the workshops in a one-on-one environment. 5.2.1.3 Coaching & Mentoring
Monthly Meetings " Business coaching: one-to-one problem solving for issues that will arise post- launch and throughout the first year of business " Mentorship, Networking and Business Visits, Peer-Coaching and Touchback Sessions with other entrepreneurs (as available) " Financial Management Support " Wellness Plan implementation and management " MVSES will provide coaching and mentoring services that provide SE Clients with expert advice, support, guidance and feedback to assist Clients in creating strategies for developing and launching their businesses successfully. " MVSES maintains a network of coaching/ mentoring candidates in the community and match Clients to mentors, where the mentors will offer applicable business/industry expertise.
5.2.2.1 Business Launch & Implementation
We are able to support Client Business launch in the following ways:
Strategic market research and business planning Research related to opening and operating a business here in British Columbia Operational product research Press Release development and circulation Internet marketing and social media support Building the first website
In addition, MVSES will provide SE coaching and support to the Client as needed in launching and implementing the business. We will assist the client to: Complete all of the preparatory activities to open the business (e.g. licensing, hiring, facilities, and marketing) and then starts the business.

At a minimum, MVSES will contact the Client at least 3 times over the course of the 38- week business launch and implementation period.
MVSES will conduct a minimum of 1 on-site visit to the launched business. The first on-site visit must be within 10 weeks of business launch.
Some Clients will be financially successful in their businesses in less time and will not require Financial Supports for the maximum duration. MVSES will review the financial viability of the business with the Client 24 weeks post-business launch date and make a recommendation to the Case Manager regarding the need for continuing Financial Supports.
MVSES will ensure that Clients who no longer require Financial Supports continue to receive SE services and guidance for the maximum SE duration if needed.
