Student Name: Jami Williams Professional Growth Statement: I will develop skills to be an effective teacher. I am committed to looking for the positive in m students. I am committed to implementing engaging lessons and activities. I will have a fun and respectful learning environment for m students. I believe this will benefit m students to learn respect for self! one another! learning! and propert . I will set up class routines and procedures to allow m students to have more "cademic #earning $ime. %eflection: I have accomplished most of m actions from m Personal Growth Plan II. I feel more confident when preparing and implementing lessons. I am more comfortable using the technolog in our classroom such as the Smart &oard! interactive programs! and the overhead pro'ector ()#*+,. I am not as proficient as I would like to be on the pacing of m lessons. I am also not as proficient as I would like to be using technolog such as the Smart &oard and its interactive programs as I would like to be. -owever! through practice I know I will gain proficienc in regard to m lesson pacing and the use of interactive programs. Strengths and Weaknesses: Strengths I have a good rapport with all students! not 'ust students in m class. I have a good rapport with all teachers and staff members at the school I teach at. I am willing to learn! and know I will alwa s be learning. I am becoming more proficient in learning classroom technolog and implementation of lessons. I am feeling more confident with m classroom management techni.ues. I have worked with students with a variet of learning disabilities and feel confident in m abilit to adapt lessons! activities! and e/pectations without lowering m e/pectations of what I know m students are capable of accomplishing. I will teach procedures to help students manage themselves. I believe having a schedule on the board is a good wa for students to know what is going on for the da . I also believe that sticking to a routine is a good wa to help students manage themselves. It is important that students learn to raise their hand .uietl to be called upon. I also will have a sign or hand signal to allow m students to answer as a whole group. I will implement a program called >+J+. It is an online program where students can earn points. Students must earn at least =: points b Brida to be able to participate in our Bun Brida activit . $he earn points for being respectful! turning in completed homework! sta ing on task! and turning in their homework folders. I will have students organi0e their school work in folders! binders! and spirals so there will be no loose papers to get lost in their desk. $his will help students to be organi0ed and keep their desk organi0ed and neat.

Students will become familiar with the classroom procedures and routines through practice. I will begin with basic procedures at the beginning of school. +nce the know those I will add more procedures and routines. Students should know class procedures b the end of the fourth month of school. I will have students organi0e their school work in folders! binders! and spirals so there will be no loose papers to get lost in their desk. $his will help students to be organi0ed and keep their desk organi0ed and neat.

I will know students understand what is e/pected of them when the can follow procedure with little to no probing. I will also know when I see students sta ing on task and making the most of ever minute.

"lso! keeping their desk and area around them clean and picked up. $he team with the most points b Brida will eat lunch in the classroom with the teacher. I will also have phrases that students will complete in order to get their attention. I will have instruments around the room such as a bell or chimes that I can pla to get the students attention. If I have a student that is off task or disruptive repeatedl the will have to write their name on the board. $he will miss I pad time or some recess time. If I have a student with their name on the board too man times within a week the will write a letter to their parents e/plaining their behavior that earned their name on the board. Parents will have to sign the letter and students will turn it in to me.

If students respond positivel to m classroom management techni.ues I will know the are working. When I see students managing themselves more! I will know m techni.ues are a success. If I find that students are not learning to manage their self I will have to come up with a different management techni.ue. I ma find that I will have to do something different for some students that need more help learning to manage their self.

If I have a student with behavior issues I will work with the proper colleagues to come up with and implement a behavior plan.

$here is no time limit for students who are diverse. $he onl time limit would be the school ear. "s students ma have e/treme behavior issues one plan ma not work. I will give the behavior plan time to work. Whatever the specialist suggest I will implement. If after pre1decided time behavior plan shows student has not made improvement I will council with the appropriate specialists to come up with a new behavior plan.

If students are able to show progress (even the slightest improvement, I will know I am meeting studentCs needs. If a behavior improves! I will know that behavior plan is working.

I will make a weekl newsletter that keeps parents informed and involved with what activities our class is participating in and what students are learning. I will invite parents to be class helpers. $he can do tasks such as make copies! do homework folders! check spelling tests! and help students that need some e/tra help learning specific concepts our class has alread learned. I will encourage students and parents to attend school activities such as the Walk1a1 thon! #iterac Night! $echnolog Night! and *ath Night! food drives! etc. When it is students birthda the parent or another famil member will be invited to come to class and share (and read if the feel comfortable, to read the birthda students favorite book. If the want to bring birthda treats the can! but it is not mandator . I will take a picture of student and parent so the have a fun memor . I will also have a class blog where students and parents can ask .uestions and know more about what students are learning and pictures of fun activities we have done. I will dress professional so when a parent walks into m class the will know that I am the teacher. I will keep an appropriate student1teacher report with all students.
