The article explains four principles that guide the feminist approach to Philemon. First we must not suppress the history of guilt linked to Philemon. This article is relevant to my research because it explains a new hypothesis of Philemon and it could create interesting dialogue in my paper. This article is relevant to my research because it describes Paul at his theological best and it explains important points that need to be made to understand Philemon as a complex text. Annotated Bibliography For Exegesis Paper Megan Kolling This article touches on different scholars observations on the interpretation of Philemon. In this article several points are raised by a new interpretation of Philemon. These points help explain, The persistence of the runaway slave interpretation, and the questions raised by this interpretation, inspired some of the observations. This article is relevant to my research because it explains the widely excepted interpretation of Philemon and why scholars have other ideas on how Philemon could be interpreted.
