Senior Thesis: Real-time group collaboration and meeting tool designed around the concept of a fishbowl discussion--a method of allowing a large number of people to speak as if it were a discussion between a few people. It is a web application written in JavaScript using the Meteor framework and MongoDB. Advised by Prof Alan Borning and Travis Kriplean. Other Research: With Professor Sean Munson on how to increase diversity of online news that people read through data mining.

UW Husky Marching Band: Play trumpet at all home football games and in smaller pep bands. Peer Review Board: Student appellate court member for hearing violations at UW HFS. Sports: Generally like to play pick-up games in sports like basketball, badminton, and recently ultimate Frisbee. Also like to run and hike when it is warm outside.
