Pro Life Message:

For Catholics, public virtue is as important as private virtue in building up the common good. In the Catholic tradition, responsible citizenship is a virtue; participation in the political process is a moral obligation. Every believer is called to faithful citizenship, to become an informed, active, and responsible participant in the political process. As we said a year ago, "We encourage all citizens, particularly Catholics, to embrace their citizenship not merely as a duty and privilege, but as an opportunity [more fully] to participate in building the culture of life. Every voice matters in the public forum. Every vote counts. Every act of responsible citizenship is an exercise of significant individual power" (US Bishops: Faithful Citizenship - Civic Responsibility for a New Millennium, 1999).

Easter VigilApril 19, 2014

It is our goal this year to make more information available in our diocese regarding Care and Share. A great source of information is the new website of the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana: www.catholicfoundationmt.org. While the entire site is still being built, there is plenty of information about Care and Share, including individual parish goals and progress, testimonials about how funds are used, and more. You can also give online and send us your own questions that you would like answered. May God bless you richly for your support of Care and Share 2014! Twitter: @SaintMarysMalta

Please pray for: Artt Christofferson & Family, Barb Christofferson, Tom Boos, Doug French, Terry McKeon, Nate Simon, Cissy Adams, Jacob French, Terry Stiles, Kenny Ulrich, Gerry Williams, those from our local area serving in the military, and the Poor Souls in Purgatory. Anyone who needs to have prayers said for someone can call: Brenda Rummel at 301-0936; Jean Niebur at 654-2822. Names will be listed in the bulletin for one month unless specified.

Stewardship & Development

"Not as man sees does God see, because man sees the appearance but the Lord looks into the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 How often do we invest our time, talent and treasure in creating an appearance that does not matter at all to God? We strive to impress with our clothing, home, career, possessions, car and other marks of distinction. But none of these illusions of greatness will impress God. Instead, He will look into our hearts to see how much we loved Him, how much we loved others and how we showed that love by the way we used our time, talents and treasure here on earth.

Mass Intentions
As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention. Please consider having Masses celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as those who are in need of prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their deaths. Contact Fr. Cory for more information!

To reserve the Parish Basement or other St. Marys facility, please contact Fr. Cory or Lana at the Parish Office (email office@SaintMarysMalta.org).

Any announcements for next Sundays bulletin need to be in by 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday

______________________ Mass RequestStipends

A message to those of you who have requested masses to be offered at Saint Marys: Presently we are offering masses for those requested in December of 2013. If you want/need masses offered quickly, we can send your mass requests onto another parish. We offer this as a suggestion due to the length of time it may take to get these masses offered here at Saint Marys. Thank you for your continued support. Please contact Lana Ulrich at 654-1446 and leave a message., or send an email to lana@saintmarysmalta.org. _______________________________
