A unique approach
There are many ways to learn. There is only one Manchester Method.

The practical workshops are great, they are really hands-on and you can see theoretical academic models working out in front of you. Its quite scary how realistic they are and you can immediately see the real world implications of any mistakes, which is a great learning curve. Richard Hennessy Buildings Operations Officer, Buro Happold, UK

The Manchester Method is a practical, situation-based way of studying business that runs through all of our programmes. Developed by MBS in the 1960s, the Manchester Method focuses on teamwork, practice-based learning and self-reflection. It allows you to use and build on your own experiences to improve your leadership skills and manage complex projects. The key to the Manchester Method is application. Everything you learn at Manchester Business School can be applied directly to your working life. We dont just give you the theory; we show you how to use it to get immediate results.

Authentic, real-world case studies Practical assignments based on your own organisations business challenges Group work with colleagues from diverse cultures Hands-on project with a live client Innovative business simulation exercise that encourages you to think and act as a CEO Critical reflection embedded into the programme

Residential workshops Workshops are the foundation of the Global Part-time MBA programme. Most core courses include a minimum of 24 hours of teaching which is more than many full-time programmes. Experience exciting, dynamic teaching from leading academics and practitioners Work in groups to apply theory to live case studies, interactive business games and simulations Attend careers and networking events in the evening Debate current business issues

Business simulations You will participate in simulation exercises at workshops and online. This is an opportunity to apply core knowledge and develop your team working abilities. For example, you will work as part of a team with colleagues based all over the world to manageabusiness and its strategy, competing with other teams of Global MBA students. This task mirrors the complexities of international business and the dynamics of working in groups composed of multiple nationalities and different professional backgrounds. Live company project Put everything youve learned into practise with the six month live company project. You will work as part of a team to scope the project, liaise with stakeholders and manage client expectations, while undertaking your own personal and professional development. A group supervisor will provide support and feedback at all stages of the project.

The Manchester Method allowed me to work on real cases and problems, providing the opportunity to relate academic theory to practical business management. Uday Senapati Head of Vehicle Refinement and Aerodynamics, Bentley Motors Ltd, UK

Penny Barr Managing Director/CEO, Barr Management Consultancy, USA and UAE

I completed the Doing Business in Brazil course, a week-long workshop in Rio. There were 20 students on the course from twelve countries, all with different styles and approaches. The variety of topics covered was second to none and included the Brazilian education system, corruption and technological advances. It was a totally immersive experience with lecturers and industry practitioners speaking to us throughout the week. Whether youre looking to secure a promotion, change direction or set up your own company, choose the Manchester Global Part-time MBA. The programme will give you the knowledge and transferable skills you need to succeed in the current and future worlds of business.

I really believe that studying for an MBA at Manchester Business School equips business professionals with the tools and confidence they need to become business leaders. This is a development I have experienced personally and also seen in MBA colleagues. Glenn Carney Head of Customer Business - Energy, Asia Pacific Region, Rolls Royce Pte Ltd, Singapore

When I started the MBA I was working as the Head of Business Development and Strategy for Asia Pacific at Thomson Reuters. In 2012 I founded Establish Asia where I work as Managing Partner, focusing on venture capital investment and advisory. My research on private equity and venture capital at Manchester Business School allowed me to re-evaluate regional opportunities in this sector. The Global MBA also provided me with a holistic view and the knowledge needed to run my business efficiently. Jennifer Zhu Scott, Managing Partner, Establish Asia, Hong Kong

The Manchester MBA programme gave me the confidence to leave full time employment and start my own business developing dynamic organisations. I had been working towards this change during the programme and shortly after leaving I found the right opportunity to step out and make a go of it on my own. Many of the opportunities that have arisen since I started have actually come from the network I built on the programme. Cordell Hensley Mentor and Coach, CL Hensley Ltd, UK
