UGC has around 364 suppliers to cater its needs in wide Varity of components for customers in automotive , White Goods , Engineering & Capitol Equipment Sector. With the technical expertise , strong knowledge of supplier base & fully equipped Material testing & metallurgical we can develop & source components for our customers in following Variety. With the planning of our customers production/ requirement, we have team of Planning & Purchase department to make the material available at UGC wear house or customers from approved suppliers. This activity gives immense benefit to our customers of making its work force available to focus only on critical components

In addition of routine inspection of jobs as per customers guide lines through Drawing, Quality plan, and sampling plan following activities are being done. Modification Implementation Any new modification to M/S UGCSCS will be along with engineering sheet where in the date of modification implementation is mentioned. Or letter with mention of modification implementation date. UGCSCS will enter the details in the register and keep the track of old stock, new receipt, modification implementation date. When old stock is consumed, then new will be dispatched. After implementation of new modified jobs for production, any supply with old version is received. The decision will be taken with consent of customer Addition of New Part While attaching new part to UGCSCS with existing supplier, details of part, drawing, material specification, and engineering specification will be made available same which is available with supplier. CAR Raising CAR (Corrective Action Request) will be raised in the event of A) Material is rejected either at UGCSCS or at customer & required to be sorted out for critical and or major reasons causing fitment and or performance at customer B) Repeat rejection at UGCSCS causing line stoppage at customer Action on CAR Feed Back Failure Supplier is supposed to give CAR feed back with in weeks time. Failing to which, M/S UGCSCS will give mail to supplier under copy to customer. If the CAR feed back is not received in next two days. Further lots will be hold at M/S UGCSCS. Same time customer SQIP and or Purchase has to intervene to get the feed back and subsequent improvement in

component; same will be monitored in the three lots. New Inspection Techniques With the modification or addition of new component or new supplier addition new inspection technique is required to be adopted at UGCSCS the necessary training will be sought from customer. Feed back on Line Rejection at Customer There is procedure for attending customer complaint. The complaint received from customer by way of verbal communication, rejection note against GRR, e mail. It will be closed by giving CAPA to customer after verifying the stock at UGCSCS for the defect communicated to UGCSCS. The defect will be communicated to generating stage of the supplier.The list of E mail ID and Telephone number of the owner of each supplier is available from customer. Information of Daily Rejection at UGCSCS The summary of daily rejection observed at UGCSCS will be communicated to customer Supplier Quality Data [PPM] to Customer Monthly the bottom ten suppliers based on PPM observed at UGCSCS will be communicated to customer Defective Material salvaged by Customer In case of any material having some defects is required to be salvaged due to emergency situation. The defects with other details of supplier name, challan number date UGCSCS GRR number quantity will be communicated to customer. If the reply from either customer R&E or QA with remarks for salvage by way of E mail then only material will be salvaged. It will not be salvaged on the basis of verbal communication. Debit Note to Suppliers M/S UGCSCS will raise the debit note in the event of A) Material is rejected either at UGCSCS or at customer & required to be sorted out on priority basis. B) Repeat rejection at UGCSCS causing line stoppage at customer Supplier stopping Procedure Supplier stoppage is sole authority of customer, in case repeat & frequent problems in the supplies in five consecutive lots of same item no response to CAR and naturally no improvement in the process. UGCSCS will suggest developing new source to this item. Addition of new Supplier to UGCSCS When ever new supplier is to be added to UGCSCS. Try-party agreement will be signed. Details of parts, drawings, material specification, and engineering specification will be made available same which is available with UGCSCS. Gauge Calibration Facility for gauge calibration will be made available by customer. If it is not possible to calibrate the gauge at customer , it will be calibrated from NABL lab & will be billed to customer. Provision of Gauges Basic instruments will be purchased by UGCSCS like micrometer, Vernier, Surface plate, Vernier height gauge. Relation gauges will be made available by customer for usage in plant.

Component Specification Customer will give following all components to be procured through UGCSCS A) Component Drawing having details of Material Specification B) Quality plan. In case it is not available, UGCSCS will check the material with ref. to PDI report of supplier. Emergency Material issue to Customer Incase material is required on war footing. The lot will be issued with out inspection after keeping the sample for inspection with identification on whole lot. After detailed inspection if lot is found defective, it will be discussed with customer for further action. Requirement while developing New Part / Modified Part The development of new part / modified part is sole responsibility of customer such parts will be handover after fully confirmation for 1) Fitment 2) performance trial at customer The supplier should give the lay out inspection report of one identified job along with first lot to M/S UGCSCS. UGCSCS rep. will visit to any supplier for carrying out improvement in the component quality provided agreed between customer & UGCSCS.

We have fully equipped Material Testing & metallurgical facility to adhere to stringent quality norms of our customers. All our systems are in accordance & certified to ISO 9001 : 2008. With the team of technically qualified persons UGC can considerably reduce strain on customer end receipt QA & support in supplier end quality improvement activities.
