Job Summary As a Mammographer you will undertake modality specific imaging procedures efficiently and effectively for both

the public and private sectors whilst adhering to best practice of radiographic technique. Within this role you will maintain a high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant odes of !ractice. "ou will assist in the provision of a breast imaging service to the highest quality standards, using the skills and resources available within the unit, #static and mobile sites$, effectively and efficiently. "ou will undertake all radiographic duties associated with the provision of a high quality breast screening service, within the department and on the mobile screening unit, in a caring and professional manner. %ther duties are& !rocess client information and use a ! to input clinical details accurately onto the '(S)S! data base *o maintain high standards of care through the appropriate use of interpersonal skills and knowledge, and the ability to adapt technique to cater for clients with a range of special needs. *o perform all imaging techniques, for which adequate training has been given, to a consistently high standard. *o assist during interventional procedures, assuming appropriate prevention and control of infection procedures. Also to contribute to the effective use of the digital stereo procedure and equipment. *o create, maintain and enhance working relationships and effective communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team. %bserve and adhere to all relevant quality control tests and checks+ report equipment defects according to unit protocols. onduct self and peer review of mammography e,aminations on a regular basis #!-M.$. .dentify training needs within the individual performance review practice and maintain evidence of training within a continual development portfolio # !/$. Attend all mandatory training as directed by the organisation. *o work in accordance with the .00 11 and .0#M2$0 3444 regulations. %bserve (ealth and Safety, and 0isk Management standards and policies, and report all incidents promptly. *o maintain state registration and professional standards, in accordance with ollege of 0adiographers policies and code of conduct. *o perform miscellaneous duties, as and when requested, by the Superintendent 0adiographer, !rogramme Manager or /irector of Screening.
