2 Short description: The key purpose of the this event will be to discuss existing youth entrepreneurship Asia initiatives and infuse a renewed rigor on youth innovation How will your proposal contribute to WCY 2014, what are the expected outcomes : This event on Entrepreneurship and innovation will define the Entrepreneurs, particular young entrepreneurs, are by definition innovators, visionaries and risk takers. However, there are three main issues those will be considered and contributed in WCY 2014: 1 Skills Development. 2. Access to information, know-how and technical assistance and coaching during and beyond that start-up phase (non-financial services); 3. Access to adequate funding schemes (financial services); Failing to address any of these issues may significantly restrict the successful implementation of youth entrepreneurship projects. In most emerging markets and developing countries, access to quality information on, for example, on how to register a business or where to receive technical assistance in a given field, is a restricted privilege. Young entrepreneurs often do not receive adequate training or practical experience in vital areas, such as project formulation, and are therefore unable to produce fundamental business, financial and marketing plans. Arguably, the biggest challenge for young entrepreneurs in most emerging markets and developing countries is the absence of appropriate financial schemes for startup capital. Indeed, financial institutions tend to consider most young peoples lack of collateral/guarantees and limited financial history and experience as disqualifiers for the provision of credit lines. Likewise, equity capital is seldom made available.

After attending this event students will able to learn how to start new ventures, how to raise capital, what the skill set they required for the particular industry.
