Israel/Palestian Policy Paper France Ben Glenn While France sees Israel as an independent state, we, France, think the Palestinians should have the right to return to their homes. The removing the Israeli soldiers from the West bank and Gaza Strip to create two different states is what we see as a great solution. . The Israeli and Palestinian conflict has been going on since the middle of the 20th century to present day (History of the IsraeliPalestinian conflict). This conflict is about the right of land between Arabs and Jewish people and who should have the land and who shouldnt. The conflict first started because the Jewish people started to immigrate to the Palestinian state or the start of the state .This was not a problem at first because the number of people immigrating was small. After major events such as World War 2 the Jewish people moved in mass numbers to states that didnt want them around such as Libya, Egypt, Jordan, and many more. These states told the Jewish people to go somewhere else so they moved to the state of Palestian and this is where the religion conflict began. The conflict is a problem for France for the reasons of trading, peace, and the death of innocent people (International: France-Israel Association). Everyday there is no action taken to stop the violence and solve poverty in the streets more people die because of terrorists. We have a foundation with Israel to bring their people closer together and to hold up diplomatic ties (International: France-Israel Association). With Palestian we have a maintained relationship with their leaders and see resolution 1515 and1397 as requirements for the

permanent establishment of a two state agreement. We believe these ties with Israel and Palestian are necessary for a solution such as a Palestinian state alongside the Israeli state. We see a two state solution as a good solution for everyone for the following reasons. It would create peace, make trading more available, and the two religions would be able to live side by side. A two state resolution is possible for the reasons of our ties with both states in a good position to persuade each side. To begin this process we would first like to take all Israeli Military and road blocks out of the Gaza Strip and West Bank. Next we would like to make the boarders or the West Bank and Gaza Strip and inside a terrorist free zones. After these two things we would be able to have more peace, trading, and almost a two state resolution.
