This study examined the effects of 6 weeks of slow walking with blood flow restriction (BFR) on leg venous compliance in elderly women. Sixteen elderly women were randomly assigned to a BFR walking group or a non-exercising control group. The BFR walking group performed 20 minutes of slow treadmill walking with BFR belts around their legs 5 days per week for 6 weeks. Venous compliance and maximal venous outflow were assessed before and after the intervention using venous occlusion plethysmography. The results showed that leg venous compliance and maximal venous outflow significantly increased in the BFR walking group after 6 weeks but did not change in the control group, with no changes in arm venous compliance. The study provides evidence
