Atypical Development A sign that may signal an atypical development would be when parents use drugs during the pregnancy process. This can cause a child to have an un-normal development, which can cause birth defects or even still births. When parents drink alcohol during the pregnancy period it will affect the childs development. The child could be born with fetal alcohol syndrome. Social: Many people probably think that their environmental surrounding may not affect the fetus. How ever the social environment does affect their unborn child. If the parents are more involved in hanging out with the wrong group of friends, then they may not be focusing on their unborn child. When parents talk to their unborn children it helps the child recognize their parents voice when they are born. In an article that I read it stated that Environment does indeed begin to influences the individuals as soon as he or she is conceived (social.jrank.org).

Culture Influences: Depending on the type of culture the parents live in, the unborn may or may not be getting the correct nutritions that helps with providing a healthy development. If the child is raised in a poverty life style, they may not be getting the correct medical treatment or enough nutritions. This can cause the child to have a negative development. If the parents are surrounded by a positive and healthy environment, then the child may have a successful development.

Positive Development Fellow the correct diet when being pregnant. The mother should make sure to take her prenatal vitamins and having the major meals with snacks between. When being pregnant they can talk to their unborn child by reading, singing to them. This help the child recognize their parents voices.
