Hello Everyone! We hope all of you have come through the cold and snow of the last few weeks without any issues. Thankfully, Spring is just around the corner and we are looking forward to warmer weather. Fortunately, even with the severe weather we were able to complete the repairs to the cart shed and pool area roofs. A big thank you to John Marshall, with AVC, and his crew for working in the rain and cold to accomplish this project. We were also able to acquire some much needed equipment for the golf course. This should make Scotts job much easier as the old equipment was worn out and he was unable to accomplish the desired result on the course. We have roped off areas on about six holes. We ask that you do not drive over these ropes as they are in place to help the grass in these areas grow. This will make for much nicer fairways come Spring. Now is the time to start thinking about your pool memberships. Summer will be here before we know it. We will again be offering a season pass along with daily rates. Hi,

Hopefully spring is around the corner. This has been one of the worst winters that I can recall at Maccripine. I believe we were open for golf for a total of 10 days in January and February due to the cold temperatures, rain, and snow. I can't wait for the warmer temperatures and green grass to start showing up so everyone can get out of the house and onto the golf course. We have several tournaments and outings scheduled for March and April and they are listed below along with their start times. March 1st we have our annual 9 Hole Shootout scheduled. Entry fee is $20.00 per player with cash prizes. The shootout will begin at 1:00pm. On April 12th we have our 2 Man Blind Draw. The format will be 18 Holes of Best Ball, gross and net, with 75% handicap used. Entry fee is $40.00 per player and includes cart fee, lunch, drinks on course, and prizes. Teams will be drawn at 7:30 am followed by the calcutta at 8:30 am and a shotgun start at 9:30. Lunch will be served after play. We would like to have all of you to participate in these events for some golf and good times. I look forward to seeing all of you out on the course very soon. Thanks, Tommie

From the Greens Superintendant

Hello Everyone, Wet, Wet, Wet, Wet, Wet. Well spring is right around the corner. Hopefully when the weather breaks we will be spraying Fairways, greens, and tees for our poa annua. We will be putting sand in some of our traps. Sand is from Pea Creek in Greenville. We used it last year. We have put ropes up on # 2,3,11,13,15 and 17 Fairways. Please help us out and dont go into these areas: Thanks! Finally I want to thank Mark and Martica for purchasing our verti-cut reels, Turfco Side Spin Topdresser, Toro HDX Sprayer and Ryan GA-24 aerator. Looking forward to a great season. We welcome Maccripine new members and invite you to take part in club events. *Contact the office 252-827-5636 to rent the clubs ballroom or pool. *For special events reservations may be required please check with the office 252-827-5636 for information. *Sunday buffet starts at 12:30 and is open to all members and their guest. The cost is $12.00 for adults, $8.00 for children 10 and under, with supervision of parents, kids under 3 free - reserve by the Friday before the event. *Maccripine dues are due monthly and may be paid by credit card, check or by draft. *If you have any questions or address changes notify the office, please stop in or call 252-8275636. * Shirt and Shoes required when playing golf. *Wednesday Night Cookout with Rudy at 7:00 pm each Wednesday NightEveryone is invited to attend please reserve by noon on Tuesday.
