The Commission has received numerous mails in the past 10 days seeking information/clarification in respect of some aspects of Advt. No. 1/2012. It appears that many of the queries revolve around a few common doubts. We are providing below some general information/clarification regarding such frequently made queries.

Passed NET in June 2012, but certificate not received. What should be done? Block 2 of Qualifications. As evidence, please attach a downloaded copy of your marksheet uploaded by UGC in its website and/or any other document you think appropriate as preliminary evidence. How to calculate marks for MP/Equivalent exams or HS/Equivalent exams? Also, I did not receive any grade in any examination, what will I write in the relevant boxes ? Register yourself as a NET-qualified candidate by selecting the NET option from

For MP/Equivalent examination, take the marks of all compulsory papers, which every Candidate has to appear in. Do not include additional/optional subjects for MP/ Equivalent examinations.

For HS/Equivalent exam, take your best 4 subjects (including language, additional and optional). In both cases, the full marks of only those subjects you have taken (4 for HS/Equivalent examinations and more for MP/Equivalent examinations) should be entered as full marks. In Block 1, if you have not obtained any grade, DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING IN THE BOX PROVIDED FOR GRADE. Just enter your marks obtained and full marks and proceed to the next item. Your Percentage and score shall be automatically calculated.
