Off to a great start...


Hola from Peru, Spanish is coming along, although I feel that my English is getting It has been a great 3 weeks so far here in Arequipa. I have nally worse! I have 7 more weeks here, and I am praying that I will settled into my home and have be able to communicate easily become good friends with the other students I live with. I have and effectively by then. I am enjoying my time here to focus now nished my third week at on the language, but I am ready the language school, and my for Cajamarca! I have had many fun experiences here including going to the local market, walking to the mall, exploring around the Plaza, eating at Chilis, getting my Peru cell number, nding the post ofce, cramming onto the buses, and so much more! I am adapting to the Peruvian life!

Each day, I have a Sunday, I go to church with the practice and a grammar class. For family I live with here. PRAYER REQUESTS:
* Pray for a quick and smooth process of obtaining my resident visa. I will have to make several trips to Lima to complete this. * Pray for great progress to be made in my language skills. Pray for increased understanding as well as confidence to speak as much as possible without worrying about making mistakes. * Pray for my continued spiritual growth. I have had to depend on God here more than ever before for simple everyday tasks. This has allowed me to draw closer to Him, and I do not want that to fade.
