Set in 79 A.D., Pompeii tells the epic story of Milo (Harington), a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia (Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.

This year, a Henry Golden Boy rifle with an awesome 20inch blued octagonal barrel, American walnut stock, brass buttplate and gleaming Brasslite receiver will be raffled at the Hi-Line Gobblers chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation to raise funds for the annual Barb Marsh Memorial Scholarship. Barb Marsh and Joe Younkin have been supporters of the Hi-Line Gobblers from the groups inception, and Joe wants to memorialize Barbs death last month with a scholarship that will be awarded annually to a Valley County student. Come to the banquet to learn more about this special opportunity to win a landmark firearm and benefit the education of a local student. In all, more than 25 guns will be available at the banquet. This is the 8th annual fund-raising banquet for the Hi-Line Gobblers, a volunteer conservation organization committed to improving habitat for turkeys and other upland game birds, opening hunting access, and promoting 2nd Amendment rights and our hunting heritage. Tickets for this fun-filled event will be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 4:30.

Huge upset? The Fairview Warriors were third ranked in the state in the final Boys Class C power poll. However, they suffered their second loss of the season as the Circle Wildcats knocked them off 71-64 in overtime yesterday afternoon in the District 1C Tourney. Circle will play Culbertson for the championship on Saturday evening while Fairview will face Brockton Saturday morning for a shot at advancing to the Eastern C Divisional. The heat is on Going into the District 1B Tournament on a 96 game win streak, the Fairfield girls (first round bye) were to play Conrad this afternoon. Can the Eagles make it to the magical mark of 100 straight? If so, it would happen on Friday, March 7th in semifinal action of the Girls Northern B Divisional in Conrad. They most likely will, and it is highly probable that it will be a Fairfield-Malta battle for the Northern B title. The MEttes are currently undefeated on the season.

Foul play suspected onValentines Day 2013 disappearance

State and local law enforcement officials are asking the public for leads again as the one year anniversary of a Kalispell womans disappearance happened on Valentines Day. Last November, the Montana Department of Justice and the Flathead County Sheriff s Office sought information in the case of Nicole Waller, 32, who left Fairview, Montana to return home to her three young children in Kalispell on February 14, 2013. When Waller didnt return, family members reported her missing; Wallers vehicle, a maroon 1999 Ford Expedition, was eventually found on the side of Highway 2 outside of Poplar. Although an extensive search was conducted, Waller was never found. One year later, Waller has still not been located, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them. While our news release last fall generated some good interest from the media and the public, were still no closer to finding Nicole through any of the tips that were brought forward, said Agent Mark Hilyard of the Montana Department of Justices Division of Criminal Investigation. If someone out there has any information, no matter how inconsequential that person thinks it may be, it could be what we need to break this case open. Although law enforcement officials wont go into details of the investigation, they are treating it as a homicide. Agent Hilyard references a number of factors that point to foul play, including Wallers abandoned car. It appeared odd that Nicoles belongings, as well as her childrens pet guinea pigs were still in the vehicle when it was recovered, Agent Hilyard said. Shes also had absolutely no contact with her family in the past year, which is also highly suspect. Waller, also known as Nicky, had brown hair and hazel eyes. She was 5 0 and weighed 165 pounds. Anyone with information regarding Wallers disappearance may anonymously contact Agent Mark Hilyard in the Division of Criminal Investigation at the Montana Department of Justice by calling (406) 4447068 or the Flathead County Sheriff s Office at (406) 758-5600. You may be eligible for a cash reward for information regarding this case.
