Transport is a key factor contributing to economic development and poverty reduction. By reducing time and costs, and improving accessibility, road transport enables economic activities, health care, education, and social development to be undertaken more effectively and efficiently ! BUT

The transport and logistics sector suffers from a systemic shortage of skilled professionals at all levels

T&L MOOC - Ingredients of a successful Industry-Academic partnership


! Defining a joint programme syllabus on the organisation of transport and logistics, suited to be delivered as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC); ! Designing training courses, established on the basis of the syllabus ! Setting up MOOCs at high qualitative and interactive standards thus contributing to ensure an engaging learning experience thus improve the completion rate by enrolled students; ! Rolling-out the MOOC through MOOC delivery platforms,; ! Implementing the MOOC through respective delivery channels; ! Promoting the MOOC through respective communication channels and networks; ! Establishing an examination mechanism for students who complete the MOOC and wish to obtain formal certification; ! Developing a certification scheme for students who successfully undertake the examination after MOOC completion; ! Defining and agreeing on the financing/revenue plan; ! Investigating opportunities of co-funding.
