Senior Project Engineer

Our client, a privately owned Project Management & Engineering company

that specialise in developing and executing projects for the resources and
infratructure sector ar seeking a Senior Project Engineer.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Co-ordinating project resources including manpower and monitoring
progress, evaluating utilisation and performance
Successful delivery of assigned project/scope of work in terms of
deliverables, time and cost objectives
Managing professional engineers, technicians, site supervisors and
contractors; assigning work and reviewing for accuracy and adherence
to required standards
Ensuring timely project completion within budget, recording completed
work, costs, materials used etc.
Preparation of proposals for new projects
Development of key client relationships
Providing general support to the senior management team
Key Competencies:
Proven understanding of project management principles
Fundamental knowledge of the project design process
Competent in the use of the following software: Word, Excel, Microsoft
Project
Effective leadership skills
Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills
Exceptional planning and organisational skills
Assertiveness
Adaptability
Ability to work without supervision
Ability to travel as required
Experience:
Extensive post graduate experience
Senior level project engineering background within the resources sector
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering
Post Graduate Qualifications desirable
Registered Engineer desirable
