Asartists,youwillshowyourworkinagalleryshow.Yourworkwillbeaccompanied byawrittendescriptiondescribingthedegreeofappropriation/influenceand specificexamplesofappropriation/influence(forexample,useofthesame paintingtechnique,useofthesamecolourscheme). Ascriticsyouwillcriticallyevaluateanotherartistsworkintermsofdegreeof appropriation/influence/inspiration. STANDARDSANDCRITERIAFORSUCCESS Youwilluseavarietyofsources(book,internet,virtualgallery)toresearchdifferent artmovements,startingwithPointillism,Impressionism,Expressionism,Cubism, Surrealism,andPopArt. Youwillcreateanaccuratetimelinerepresentingdifferentartmovements/when differentartistswereworking.Thiswillhelpyoutoidentifyandexploretherelated conceptofInterpretation:originality,appropriation,reinvention,authenticity. Youwillcreatepiecesofart(music,drawing,painting,collage,computergenerated art,sculptureetc.)thathave,tosomedegree,beeninfluenced/inspired/shaped/ byexistingorknownpiecesofart.
