Work with supervisors, superintendent, and school board in ensuring employment decisions are made with respect to the law, school board policy, and district regulations. Coordinate and oversee the state assessment program for the district. Facilitate and write grants in order for the district to receive additional funds. This included things such as budget, staff evaluations and decisions, curriculum implementation, master schedule creation, campus improvement plans, discipline, and level one grievances Made presentations to students, parents, teachers, and school board members. Implemented a future administrator program to assist teachers that desired to become assistant principals. Assistant Principal, Maggie B. Selman Intermediate School, Sealy Independent School District, 2007-2009 Assisted principal with implementation and reinforcement of all regulations and policies related to students and staff. Helped implement curriculum changes that took a campus that was almost Unacceptable to Recognized. Provided guidance to teachers as they moved to a new curriculum and online lesson plans.

Teaching Experience Teacher, Katy Junior High School, 1999-2007 36th Tiger Corps Led the military organization that students could take in place of physical education. The group was formed to assist at risk students. Expanded the corps to include 6th graders and females. Enrollment was nearly 250 students when I left. Provided guidance that led to only high school graduates, but numerous students went on to join the military or receive a college degree. Organized fundraisers and solicited sponsors to fund events and uniforms for corps. U.S. History Educated eighth grade students on U.S. History. Worked with students that had a variety of disadvantages in order for them to gain academic success. Assisted in the development of Katy ISDs online curriculum. Teen Leadership Taught this elective which was open to all junior students. Prepared students for high school and life after school. The curriculum included things such as parliamentary procedure, personal finances, and goal setting. Coaching Experience Katy Junior High School, 1999-2007 Football Was promoted to head 7th grade football coach for around 150 athletes. Scouted for and assisted Katy High School football team in winning multiple state championships. Organized and ran the 7th grade athletic period. Track and Field Was the head boys Track and Field coach. Trained several athletes and teams that broke campus records. Oversaw and made decisions regarding boys track budget. Basketball Assistant coach for the junior high boys basketball team. Coached or assisted with some district championships. Assisted head coach with implementing a defensive strategy for all 8th grade teams.
