The Usui System of Natural Healing

LEVEL THREE NOTES

About your Facilitator

Session 1
Introduction: Reiki III brings us to a whole new dimension of healing. Because the work is different, you will find that the course is also structured quite differently from what you have learnt so far. In Reiki III, many of the answers should come from within yourself. Why is that? To answer that question, let us look at what makes a Reiki !aster". Defining Reiki Master: What will make you a Reiki !aster? By now, you should realise that there#s far more to it than a fancy certificate on the wall$ %t Reiki III level, Reiki becomes a lifestyle rather than something you &ractise occasionally. Through your Reiki &ractise, you should also have learnt a great deal about energy ' how to control it, how to inter&ret it, and how to nurture your own energy levels. <Complete action 1> % Reiki !aster should( ). *trive to follow the Reiki +rinci&les at all times. ,. -earn to be com&assionate to all living creatures. .. /nderstand how thoughts and &erce&tions influence reality, and the im&act our beliefs have on manifesting our e0&eriences. 1. -earn to &ractise detached com&assion. Why? Because when we attach to a client or the outcome of a treatment, we limit the energy#s ability to do its work. *ee &oint .$ 2. 3now how to cultivate 3i45i, and how to avoid losing one#s own energy. 6. +ractise some ty&e 7!editation4Tai8i49oga: of energy cultivation method daily.

;. -earn how much energy is enough, and how much is too much. <. 3now how to control the amount of energy shared with a client. =. 3now how to &rotect one#s self from others# energies and sym&toms. )>. Tune into a client4student in order to understand what is needed for healing and learning, while still &ractising detachment. 3

)). /nderstand that on Reiki III level, every treatment will be unique. ),. 3now how to &ass attunements and be skilled in the energy work required for this &rocess to work. ).. 3now how to teach Reiki, and how to 8udge whether a &otential student is ready for the knowledge. )1. %cce&t that with Reiki, one will never know and understand everything$ )2. Be available to students whenever they need guidance in their Reiki &ractise. This is a lifetime commitment, and should not be taken lightly$ )6. ?harge reasonable fees. Reiki is a &rivilege to work with ' it is not ours to sell$ );. /nderstand that self knowledge and self healing are essential if one is to master the above &oints. %s with learning, this is an ongoing &rocess. )<. /nderstand that there is no quick@fi0 cure in energy medicine. -ong@ term &roblems need long@term treatment, as energy medicine works on a causal level. )=. Aiscard the ego. Reiki is a life@changing e0&erience, and sharing it with others is a wonderful e0&erience. Bowever, do remember that what you are sharing belongs to everyone. When you see your students transforming their lives, bear in mind that it is the Reiki doing its work. 9ou are sim&ly a facilitator, not a guru"$ ,>. Remember that each &erson will heal and learn at their own &ace. By all means encourage, but try not to 8udge.

Session
!"akras: By now, you have &robably come across a number issues during treatments that related directly to chakras. Which issues come u& most often for certain chakras? Bow did you manage to balance them? 9ou may also have noticed that the chakras usually work in teams of two. Bave you figured out which chakras work together? Cenerally, the chakra teams" work as follows( Root with ?rown *acral with Third Dye *olar +le0us with Throat Beart is where heaven and earth meet".

%t Reiki III level, you are also ready to start working with an additional set of ?hakras. The first new chakra is the Darth chakra. It is located between the feet 7sometimes below:, and feeds directly into 9ungchuan" 7the minor chakras on the feet: and also into the root chakra. This chakra connects us to Darth energy, and is e0tremely im&ortant during healing and other energy work. It usually s&ins anti@clockwise, as it is drawing in energy. The second new chakra is located above the crown, and works as a sort of e0tension to the crown chakra. It usually s&ins anti@clockwise, and draws in heavenly" 3i. These two chakras do for our energy bodies what our res&iratory system does for our &hysical bodies. If either of these two chakras are disconnected or blocked, we will not be able to circulate the right quantity of energy, and this will have a negative im&act on everything else in the body. These two chakras are also e0tremely im&ortant when &erforming a treatment, cultivating energy and doing attunements. The easiest way to block these chakras is bad &osture. Thus it is im&erative that you start getting into the habit of good &osture when you do energy work. %t first it will seem a little strange, but soon you will see how much easier this makes things$ Cood &osture for healing4energy means( Eever lock any 8oints. 3ee& feet flat on the ground and rela0ed 3ee& hands tidy but rela0ed 3ee& elbows slightly in when &ossible 5

Aro& the &elvis, so that the coccy0 is tucked in Aro&4round the shoulders *ink the chest Aro& the head 7and eyes: 12F, so that it feels at though the entire s&ine is sus&ended. 3nees and toes always &oint in the same direction, and knees should never be further than the toes. 3nees should be bent. EDGDR lean forward ' rather bend the knees more. Breathing should be slow and comfortable, and all in the sacral chakra. The sacral chakra should e0&and and contract as you breathe. Teeth lightly touching, ti& of tongue on roof of mouth. 9our thoughts should be dro&&ed right down into your sacral chakra, with your intent4focus on this chakra 7not on your hands$:.

Hor those of you who &ractise Tai8i or other internal martial arts, this should all be familiar$ When you are able to a&&ly this &osture correctly, several changes should ha&&en. These will be discussed in due course. The last addition to this &osture is detachment(

Detac"#ent: Aetachment is a rather foreign conce&t to the western mind. !any &eo&le mistakenly believe that is means we shouldn#t care or feel. This is not the case$ Aetachment sim&ly means that we learn to discard our egos, while detaching from our emotions and thoughts so that we are not ruled by them. The theory is that if we are able to sto& reacting to our e0ternal senses 7through emotions: we will eventually ta& into the True *elf 7through internal senses: which is far more in tune with our s&irit, and far more ca&able of causing change 7healing, manifestation, etc:. Through detachment, we also let go of the outcome 7healing, reward, recognitionI:, which means we will not limit it with our own doubts or emotions. -iu I@!ing1 e0&ressed this beautifully in his work %wakening the Tao ," 7translated by Thomas ?leary:(

Liu I-Ming was one of the most adept Taoist writers of early modern times. He was orn in around 1!3!" and first e#ame interested in Taoism during his early teens. $%wa&ening the Tao' was written in 1(1)" when he was nearly (* years old. 2 It is impossi le to gi+e a dire#t translation of $Tao'. %##ording to Lau T,u-s Tao Te Ching, the Tao that #an e named is not the Tao. $Tao' usually refers to $Method' or $/ath'" and refers to the path leading to enlightenment.

The Height of Heaven, the Thickness of Earth: The body of heaven is extremely high. Open, round, immeasurable, it is boundlessly vast. Covering everything, containing everything, it produces myriad beings without expectation of reward. hether people are respectful or insincere, supportive or antagonistic, is left up to them. hether people are good or bad, attractive or repulsive, and whether creatures are violent and stubborn or docile and obedient, they are allowed to be so of themselves, without any contrivance. The earth is very thic!. "owly, below all else, it bears everything and nurtures all beings. #t can bear even the weights of the great mountains, and it can endure even the erosive force of great waters. #t tolerates being pierced by plants and trees, and it submits to the tread of birds and beasts. #t does not mind being cheapened by pollution. hat # reali$e as # observe this, is the Tao of emulating heaven and earth. #f people can be open%minded and magnanimous, be receptive to all, ta!e pity on the old and the poor, assist those in peril and rescue those in trouble, give of themselves without see!ing reward, never bear grudges, loo! upon others and self impartially, and reali$e all as one, then people can be companions of heaven. #f people can be flexible and yielding, humble, with self%control, entirely free of agitation, cleared of all volatility, not angered by criticism, ignoring insult, docilely accepting all hardships, illnesses, and natural disasters, utterly without anxiety or resentment when faced with danger or adversity, then people can be companions of earth. ith the nobility of heaven and the humility of earth, one &oins in with the attributes of heaven and earth and extends to eternity with them'( JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

!u$ti%ating Energ&: %s discussed in *ession ), energy cultivation is e0tremely im&ortant at Reiki III level, es&ecially if you &lan to give regular treatments or teach Reiki. There are a number of methods that can be used. If you have not received any formal training in energy cultivation, the easiest method is &robably meditation. Band@in@hand with energy cultivation is the &rinci&le of detachment 7you must become em&ty" to become full":, and along with this must come humility 7discarding the ego: and integrity. Without humility, you can forget about cultivating anything useful ' you will only be feeding your ego$

To cultivate 3i 74?hi45i:, sit comfortably with your s&ine straight 7see notes on &osture:. Breathe into your sacral chakra, and feel it e0&anding and contracting as you inhale and e0hale. ?lear your mind. %llow your thoughts to eva&orate ' do not try and mani&ulate them. Imagine that you breathe your thoughts down into your sacral chakra. %s you breathe this way, try to connect to the emotions in your heart centre, and breathe those down to the sacral chakra too. Ao this e0ercise daily 7ideally when you wake u& and before you go to slee&:. Ao not &ractise energy cultivation between ).(>> and )2(>> or >)(>> and >.(>>. -iu I@!ing e0&lains cultivation( Filling Concavities, Wearing Away Protuberances: ) concavity becomes full over a long period of time, while a protuberance wears away over a long period of time. This is because that which is empty is bound to be filled, and that which is high is bound to be lowered. hat # reali$e as # observe this is the Tao of decrease and increase, of emptiness and fulfilment. hen people elevate and aggrandi$e themselves, confident of their talent and ability, strutting around as though they were sages, then others often detest them* time and again they bring error on themselves by self%satisfaction, and eventually they will fall below others, becoming anything but elevated. This is li!e a protuberance of earth gradually being worn away by people treading on it. hen people humble and minimi$e themselves, dismissing intellectuality, being modest and restrained, then others respect them* time and again they benefit by emptying their hearts, and eventually will advance beyond others, becoming anything but low. This is li!e a concavity in the ground gradually filling by accumulation of earth. Therefore in the case of developed people, the loftier their path becomes the more humble their hearts are. Their virtue grows day by day, yet they become daily more circumspect, until all pride is gone and all agitation is dissolved'( JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

!ontro$$ing energ& f$o(: Auring this session, we will work on increasing and decreasing the amount of energy transferred during Reiki treatments. %t Reiki !aster level, you should start getting a feel for how much energy is needed. Too little will not do enough, but too much can also overdose" a &atient$ The only way to become sensitive enough to your &atient 7and yourself$: to 8udge this correctly, is detachment. +lease be sure to kee& this in mind when doing treatments ' through &ractise, this will become easier. While it may take some time to understand how to change the energy flow, the &rocess is quite sim&le. %s with your Reiki treatments thus far, the trick is to use your intention. 9our intention should be calm, yet focussed. *im&ly intend to give more or less energy, and you will find this starts to ha&&en without much conscious effort from you. <Complete action ,>

THE *IVE S+IRIT,-L +RIN!I+LES O* REI.I Just for today, I will let go of anger. Just for today, I will let go of worry. Today, I will count my many blessings. Today, I will do my work honestly. Today, I will be kind to every living creature.

T"e ' Le%e$s Of Initiations/-ttune#ents To Reiki Energ& There are three initiations that Reiki !asters go through in order to attune their energy to the three levels of Reiki. Dach initiation &hysically attunes the initiate#s body to the Reiki energy and to a &articular healing level. 10 *irst Degree Hirst degree attunes the healer to healing the &hysical body level. It is at this level that you learn how to do a Reiki treatment on yourself and others. 0 Second Degree *econd degree attunes the healer to healing at the mental and emotional levels. It allows you to facilitate mental and emotional clearings. It is at this level that you learn three Reiki symbols and how to use them during an in@ &erson treatment, as well as &erforming an absentee or remote healing. '0 Masters Degree !aster#s degree attunes the healer to healing on the s&iritual level and to com&lete mastery of the Reiki energies. %t this level you learn to utilise the master#s symbols and how to &ass attunement on to others. 9ou also learn how to teach Reiki. Reiki III teaching begins with the introduction of two additional symbols. Both are used in the attunement &rocess, but only one is used for healing. Dverything in Reiki III drives to the &assing of attunements and the symbols are &art of this &rocess. The two Third Aegree symbols are called the Aai@3o@ !yo and the Raku. The Aai@3o@!yo is used for healing, and it is also the symbol that transmits the Reiki attunements. The Raku is mainly used in the attunement &rocess, but has been used on occasion as a lightning strike in a ma8or healing. Knce you know the Reiki III Aai@3o@!yo, it is to be used in all healings. *ent distance it travels ra&idly from the healer#s Beart chakra to the Beart chakra of the receiver. Kften it is the only symbol required in a healing, though for distance work always use the Bon@*ha@Le@*ho@Een, too. /sed reversed, it &ulls negative energy out of the bodies and releases it. The Aai@3o@!yo#s focus is healing the soul. Dach of the Reiki symbols targets one of the 1*

vibrational bodies. The ?ho@3u@Rei resonates strongest with the &hysical body level, the *ei@Be@3i with the emotional body, and the Bon@*ha@Le@*ho@ Een with the mental body. The Aai@3o@!yo works on the s&iritual body level. %s with the other symbols, send the Aai@3o@!yo in direct healings when your intuition tells you to do so. The symbol often turns an astral rose colour when sent, and sometimes metallic gold. It is not static in the sending, but moving, s&inning and vibrant. It carries everything the receiver needs. This is the most &owerful healing energy available to us on &lanet Darth, and certainly the most &ositive. Hor self@healing, use the Aai@3o@!yo in the same way it is used for others. Trace it over your Beart chakra, and visualiMe it with the other symbols. The Aai@3o@!yo has other uses. GisualiMe the four symbols to clear and charge crystals, to &rogram them, and to ask them to become self@clearing.

The other Reiki III symbol is the Raku. The symbol looks like a lightning bolt. %t the end of the attunement, the Raku is used to ground the receiver of the Reiki energy. It activates the Bara -ine, hel&ing the student to bring the Reiki energy through her 3i channels and grounds it in the Bara center 7or navel:. Auring the attunement &rocess the aura of the !aster and student are 8oined, and something more ha&&ens while the auras merge. Auring these few moments, the Reiki guides use the energy to lift negative karma from the &erson receiving the attunement and the Reiki degree. The teacher doing the &rocess receives what is released through her own aura and grounds itN she is usually totally unaware of this. The Raku at the ending of the attunement se&arates the auras. It also leaves both !aster and student with far more 3i energy than they each had before. This release of karma during the attunement &rocess e0&lains the &hysical and emotional cleaning and reorganiMation that often follows.

Raku The lightning bolt, banking the fire 7for &assing attunements KE-9:

Knce familiar with the Reiki III symbols and their healing uses, it is time to begin using them to &ass attunements. The attunements and initiation &rocess are the ma8or miracle" of the Reiki healing system. <Complete action -> 12

+endu$u# Do(sing 2 Reiki: The &endulum is not, traditionally, &art of Reiki. Bowever, it has become a &o&ular tool for &erceiving and working with energy, and thus many Reiki courses will include some information on how to use a &endulum. Whether or not you choose to use a &endulum is your choice. Bowever, if you choose not to use one, you should still be able to &ick u& and inter&ret the information below, using your hands 7or another method:. Remember that the &endulum is sim&ly a visual representation of your own intuition$ Inter3reting &our +endu$u#: If you have &rogrammed your &endulum according to your earlier Reiki notes 7i.e. clockwise for yes4&ositive4e0cessN anti@clockwise for no4negative4too littleN back@and@forth for neutral:, you should find that the following indicators are accurate for you. Bowever, if your &endulum is &rogrammed differently, you will need to figure out how your &endulum would indicate the following. In your Reiki +ractice, you may find additional &endulum motions" ' &lease do take note of these, and record their inter&retation.

Pendulum Motion

Interpretation

Action needed

This motion usually means that something significant is shifting in that &articular &art of the energy field. !ost commonly occurs at the Darth ?hakra, or 8ust after a symbol has been used.

*can again after a few minutes to be sure things have settled. If still shifting, check whether you should smooth out the energy, or sim&ly leave it as is.

If the neutral" motion is &articularly 8erky or abru&t during scanning, it is a sign that the &articular area of the subtle body is unstable or in confusion.

/se hands, symbols or crystals to smooth out area. /sually &ulling energy towards Darth ?hakra will solve the &roblem.

This motion indicates that the subtle body is not in balance, or not communicating with, one or more of the subtle bodies.

/se relevant chakras and Reiki symbols to stimulate and en@courage communication between subtle bodies. *ometimes hel&ful to fluff" and smooth" the two subtle bodies that are in conflict.

Session 4
+endu$u# Do(sing 2 !"akras: The +endulum can be an e0tremely useful tool for establishing the strength and activity of the chakras. If &rogrammed &ro&erly, your chakra#s motion will corres&ond to the chakra diagram 7see &age )6:. %s before, the siMe" and s&eed of your &endulum will give you an indication of how strong the chakra is, or how hard it is working. Remember, with &endulum work intention is everything. !$osed !"akras: Why would a chakra close? Why is the closing of a chakra sometimes intentional, and sometimes involuntary? When a &erson goes through acute or chronic emotional or &hysical trauma, it will im&act on the entire system. Kften the trauma will relate strongest to one or two chakras. %s a result, these chakras are likely to shut down, which means that they will close almost com&letely. Dssentially, this means that the trauma creates a very severe blockage. Intentiona$ and in%o$untar& 3ro5$e#s: %s described on the chakra sheet, your &endulum may give a diagonal swing when a chakra is almost entirely closed, or a subtle body is out of alignment. The direction of the swing 7i.e. leaning to the right, or to the left: is also significant. When leaning to the left of the &atient#s body, the &roblem has occurred involuntarily. Bowever, when the swing is to the right of the &atient#s body, they have created the blockage themselves. Dven in such cases, the intention behind the blockage is often unconscious. 9ou will need to use your intuition to see how dee& you should dig into the issue. *uch blockages are often very &ersonal, and some &atients will take a while to o&en u& to you. !onnecting and distance: %t this level, you should be able to check somebody#s chakras even if you are several meters 7or kilometres$: away from them. The art of tuning in" is one you should have mastered through your own &ractice, as it is essential that you connect to your &atient 7and students: during your interaction with them. In the beginning, &ractise distance" chakra testing by using a chakra sheet 7you can draw your own if you like$:. !ake a note of what you &ick u& working over the diagram. Eow check the &erson you were testing, working hands on", and see how accurate your initial diagnosis was.

Session 6
7$ockages Inside t"e 7od&: Thus far, we have focused our healing mostly on the area around the body, i.e. in the subtle bodies4aura and chakras. Bowever, it makes sense that blockages and &roblems will also manifest inside the body. Remember that the energy travels through the body, the chakras are rooted inside the body, and the 3i is moved around the body through the meridian system. Thus a blockage inside the body can take numerous forms, and have serious &hysical and emotional consequences$ To find and treat blockages inside the body, you will usually need several regular sessions. With a &roblem at this level, it is also more im&ortant than ever that your client works with you. Be4she will need to commit to getting better, and to facing whatever emotions and situations may come to the fore during treatment. There is no quick@fi0 to health or enlightenment$ It takes hard work, and a lot of suffering along the way. Ao not be fooled into believing that healing is necessarily always a &leasant &rocess ' the &leasant only" ty&es of healing have results that are su&erficial and short@lived$ T"e 7od& Scan: Before you do a body scan for a &atient, you !/*T do one on yourself, to avoid becoming confused between your own body#s issues4blockages and those that belong to the &erson you are scanning$ To do a body scan on somebody else safely, you will need to remain com&letely detached and in the moment. If you don#t, you are likely to hold onto your &atient#s &roblems. %s you go through the &rocess of the body scan, be on the look@out for any &ain, stiffness or &laces that feel dark" or stuck". Ao not attem&t to fi0 these &laces ' 8ust make a mental note and continue with the scan( Body Scan Meditation ( *it or lie comfortably with your s&ine as straight as &ossible. Take a moment or two to rela0. Eow bring your awareness to the to& of the head, moving slowly into the head. Remember to check for &ainful, tense or dark" bits as you go along. Eow scan the face ' forehead, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, 8awI %nd now move along to the ears ' the ear lobes and the inner earI. !ove your attention to the neck areaI do you find any tension there? *lowly move your awareness down the s&ine, and then to the left shoulder bladeI Is there tension or &ain in this area? Hrom the left foot, move your awareness to the right foot, and scan u& the right leg until you get to the right hi&I Hrom the right hi&, scan the abdomen#s organs. Ao they seem healthy, or are there organs that feel sluggish" or stuck? Eow move your awareness to your lungs and ribsI. %nd then to the heartI Take a few moments to become aware of the heart beatI Fixing Blockages on Self - Meditation( 7This phase involves fixing the tense/painful/stuc! areas, and can be done as soon as you have completed the scan on yourself0 *till rela0ed, imagine that you are breathing in light, and breathing out darknessI ?ontinue to breathe this way for several minutes, and feel the light you are breathing in, settle in all the &arts of your body that you found tense, &ainful or stuck". %s you e0hale darkness, feel all the stuck" energy leaving your bodyI. %fter a few minutes, you begin to breathe in light, and breathe out lightI Ao this for several minutes, and feel your whole body ' down to every cell ' vibrating with bright healthy energy. %llow the light to take on any colour that feels good to you. +s&c"ic Surger&: Eegative energy often gets stuck in the aura, chakras, or lodges itself in and around the &hysical organs. This technique is a &owerful &rocess that will s&eed u& the healing &rocess by releasing the stagnant concentrations of energy causing the blockage, whether it is of a &hysical, emotional or mental nature. Aue to the risks involved, and the invasive nature of this technique, use it only when absolutely necessary. *urgery ' whether &sychic or &hysical ' is not to be taken lightly$ Knce again, detachment and &rotection is essential, as you and your &atient#s energy fields will be merging for the duration of the surgery. When done together with a regular Reiki session, use +sychic surgery first and then follow on into the Reiki treatment. This can be done while the client is sitting or lying down.

The healer now begins to &ull out" 7take and dum&: the negative energy. Try &ulling from different angles and sides of the &roblem area. %llow yourself to be guided as to what to do. %fter continuing for several minutes, ask the client how they feel and if there is any change in sha&e or colour. 7?ould take 2 minutes or )@, hours:. The healer will decide intuitively whether they need to continue &ulling out more negative energy or not. Remember, you will be guided at all times. 3ee& asking the client how they are feeling 7or seeing: the &roblem all the time, be aware of changes in sha&e and colour. Knce the &ulling out of negative energy is com&lete, the healer must cut the air between the client and themselves to break the &sychic connection between them. Imagine a &air of gold scissors that cuts through that &sychic connection, which can be inter&reted as a chord. The healer now retracts the &sychic fingers. The healer now a&&lies Reiki to the area treated and seals it with the +ower *ymbol 7?ho@3u@Rei:. ?ontinue with a Reiki full body treatment. 10

Teac"ing Reiki: Traditionally Reiki !asters must know how to teach Reiki and &ass attunements. It is therefore essential that you understand how this &rocess works, even if you do not intend to teach. 9ou will find that understanding Reiki in this way, will bring your own &ractice to a much dee&er level. To teach Reiki, it is obviously essential that you have a thorough understanding of /sui Reiki I, II and III, and that you are able to e0&lain the theory and inter&ret the energy sufficiently. Dven if you never teach, you must have a firm foundation 7Reiki I and II: in order to be certified as a Reiki !aster. In order to get an idea of where the ga&s in your knowledge may be, &lease com&lete action ;. 9ou must score )>>O for this e0ercise 7as well as the &ractical requirements: before you can receive your Reiki III attunement and certification$ <Complete action 1>

Session 9
+assing -ttune#ents The attunement has to be e0&erienced ' it cannot be described in any left@ brained way. Eo one knows how or why the Reiki attunement works, why the combination of hand motions, breath and 3undalini control has the &rofound affect that it does. Those who have received the Reiki attunements know that they are life changing. They are a lifetime#s high &oints for many &eo&le, and most of us who &ass them are totally in awe of the &rocess. The attunement is the difference between other touch healing systems and Reiki. Dach &erson receiving the Reiki attunement e0&eriences something different. The &erson giving the attunements feels something different each time as well, but the overall feeling is one of intensive 8oy. The &rocess turns the body into a lightning rod for 3i energy that first moves through the !aster4Teacher before being transmitted to the student. It is a &hysically demanding &rocess, requiring breath control and the ability to hold the Bui 9in &osition for long &eriods. There is no time for thought while &assing an attunement, only for the energy moving through. There are no other considerations than the &hysical movementsN the energy takes care of itself. The guides will be &resent and will assist, but it is nevertheless vital that the !aster4Teacher knows and e0ecutes the &rocedure &ro&erly. The initiation method that follows &asses each Reiki degree in one attunement. It is also the same attunement for all three Reiki degrees. The same attunement makes a Reiki I, II or III healer. +art of the reason this can ha&&en is intent, and &art is the receiver#s own ca&acity to hold 3i. When starting to &ass attunements, it is best to begin by doing them with only one &erson, rather than a full class. It takes time and e0&erience to develo& the muscle and breath control required, sometimes several months, so start slow. When beginning to &ass Reiki attunements, start with Reiki I. When you have held several classes and feel fully comfortable with the attunement &rocess and the Hirst Aegree, move u& to Reiki II. Co further only when you feel that you can handle any event in the Hirst Aegree. The best way to ready oneself for teaching Reiki is to do as much healing work as &ossible, both direct and distance, and to &ractise &assing the attunements. By knowing Reiki thoroughly, you learn enough to teach it to others.
