MA JOR PA DANG NYAM PA DANG GANG YANG DAG MONGS LO YI NI GI PA DANG NI GI TSAL WA DE KUN GON WOS PAR DZOD The 100-syllable mantra of Vajrasattva, three times (while reciting ring bell): OM VAJRASATTVA | SAMAYA MANUPALAYA | VAJRASATTVA TENOPA TISHTA | DRIDHO ME BHAVA | SUTOSHYO ME BHAVA | ANURAKTO ME BHAVA | SUPOSHYO ME BHAVA | SARVA SIDDHI ME PRAYACHA | SARVA KARMA SU CA ME CITTAM | SHREYAH KURU HUM | HA HA HA HA HOH | BHAGAVAN SARVA TATHAGATA | VAJRA MA ME MUNCA | VAJRI BHAVA | MAHA SAMAYA SATTVA AH As I say OM VAJRA MU, the wisdom deities go back to their abode and I generate within myself the pride of the commitment of remaining inseparable from Singhanata.

GE WA DI YI NYUR DU DAK JETSUN SENGEDRA DRUB GYUR NAY DRO WA CHIG KYANG MA LU PA TE YI SA LA GOD PA SHOG GE WA DI YI KYE WO GUN SO NAM YE SHE TSOG DZOG NAY SO NAM YE SHE LAY JUNG WAI DAM PA NI PO TOB PAR SHOG By this virtue, may I quickly attain the state of Singhanata and place upon his stage all living beings, without exception. By this virtue, may they all accumulate merits and achieve wisdom. May they all obtain the two kinds of benets: for oneself and for others.

shoulder, Amithaba, red; on my right hip, Ratnasambhava, yellow; on my left hip, Aksobya, blue. I meditate, focusing my mind on my appearance, which is formed of light (one could use the analogy of a hologram.) When one looses concentration, one can proceed thinking as such: Around the heart syllable, the rosary of the white mantra, circles and emanates rays of light, invoking the attention of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, purifying all sins, sicknesses and delements of myself and others. I recite the mantra as many times as possible:

SANG GYAY CHO TANG TSO KI CHO NAM LA CHANG CHUB BARDU DA NI GYAP SU CHI DA KI CHIN SOK GYI WA DI TA KI DRO LA PEN CHIR SANG GYAY DRU BAR SHOG In the Buddha, the Dharma, and the most sublime Assembly I take refuge until I achieve enlightenment. Through the merit of my generosity and other deeds, May I attain Buddhahood to benet all beings. At the center of my heart, the letter AH appears and becomes a moon disc. On top of the moon disc is a while syllable HRI. Rays of light extend from the syllable and ll my body, purifying all delements and obscurations of sicknesses and demons accumulated from beginingless time. My body becomes as clear as crystal. Emanating rays of light, I invoke from the land of the natural state the teachers and the venerable Singhanata, surrounded by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. JANG CHUB CHOK KYI SEM NI KYED GYI NAY SEM CHEN TAM CHAY DAK KI DRON DU NYER JANG CHUB CHOD CHOK YI ONG CHOD PAR GI DRO LA PEN CHIR SANG GYAY DRUB PAR CHOK In the Three Jewels I take refuge and before them reveal all the wrongs I have done. I rejoice in the virtues of living beings and keep in my heart remembrance of the Buddhas enlightenment. Until I, too, have attained Buddhahood, I rely upon the Enlightened One, His Teachings, and the Exalted Assembly. I am resolved to become a Buddha in order to bring about my own and others well-being. Awakening thus this aspiration to supreme liberation, I invite all beings also to share in my spiritual career. May I accomplish all the wondrous deeds of a Bodhisattva and win enlightenment for their sake.

I am not wearing any ornaments except for the Brahman thread, which crosses my chest, in the style of the ascetic. I am sitting in the royal posture (as if sitting on a chair, left foot down, right ankle placed on the left knee). In the center of my forehead the white letter OM, a red AH at the throat, and a blue HUM in the heart. From the HRI in the center of my heart, light emanates, invoking the venerable Singhanata, surrounded by countless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from the land of the natural state. OM VAJRA SAMADZAH NAMO BHATRARAKA SINGHANATA BHYAH NAMO SARVABUDDHA BODHISATTVA BHYAH OM BHATRARAKA SINGHANATA SAPARIWARA I perform the offerings: OM VAJRA ARGHAM AH HUM OM VAJRA PADYAM AH HUM OM VAJRA PUSHPE AH HUM OM VAJRA DHUPE AH HUM OM VAJRA ALOKE AH HUM OM VAJRA GANDHE AH HUM OM VAJRA NAIVEDYE AH HUM OM VAJRA SHABDA AH HUM As I say DZA HUM BAM HO, all wisdom deities dissolve into me. Again, rays of light emanate from my heart, invoking the ve initiating Buddhas: OM VAJRA SAMADZAH OM PANJA KULA SAPARIWARA ARGHAM PADYAM PUSHPE DHUPE ALOKE GANDHE NAIVIDYE SHABDA PRATIKA SWAHA Thus I request, You all Tathagatas, please bestow upon me the empowerment. The Tathagatas, holding the initiation vase of consecrated water, sing this song: JI TAR TAM PA TSAM GI NI LHA NAM KI NI TRU SOL TAR LHA YI CHU NI DAG PA YI DE CHIN DAG GI WANG GYUR RO OM SARVA TATHAGATA ABISHEKATA SAMAYA SHRIYE HUM Likewise the ve initiating Buddhas anointed Buddha Sakyamuni at his birth, I hereby anoint you. The sacred water is poured from the vessel over my head. It lls my body, purifying all obscurations. The water overows on top of my head, and becomes the Buddha Amithaba. Simultaneously the attributes of the ve Tathagatas arise: On my head, Vairocana, white; on my right shoulder, Amoghasiddhi, green; on my left

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering. May they not be separate from the bliss that is without suffering. May they dwell in equanimity, free of nearness or distance, attachment or aversion. OM SHUNYATA JNANA VAJRA SVABHAVA ATMAKO HAM From emptiness appears the syllable PAM, which transforms itself into a red lotus with eight petals. In the center of the lotus, the syllable AH appears, and transforms into a white lion, looking up. His red mane is ornated with precious jewels. On top of the lion, the syllable AH transforms into a moon cushion with the white syllable HRI standing in the center. Rays of light emanate from the HRI toward the Aryas purifying the delements of all sentient beings, liberating them into the state of Singhanata. The rays return to the HRI, which then transforms me into Singhanata, with a white body, one face, and two arms. My right hand rests on my right knee, in the mudra of fearlessness. My left hand is on the seat, keeping my body upright. My hair is tied into a knot, with three eyes. To the right side, close to my body, there is a green trident, upright, with a white snake curling around it. On the left side, on top of a small lotus cushion, there is
