Verbal Procedure
We, the members of IISA (Indonesia International Student Association) do establish and adopt this constitution in order to form an efficient organization, ensure equal representation of each member, and secure an environment that stimulates intellectual, social, recreational integration and interaction. In order to make ours a more efficient organization, this constitution will guide our actions and activities toward our best mutual interests. IISA will abide by DIKTI rules and regulations, state and constitutional laws.

Constitution We, the members of IISA (Indonesia International Student Association) do establish and adopt this constitution in order to form an efficient organization, ensure equal representation of each member, and secure an environment that stimulates intellectual, social, recreational integration and interaction. In order to make ours a more efficient organization, this constitution will guide our actions and activities toward our best mutual interests. IISA will abide by DIKTI rules and regulations, state and constitutional laws. *Article I-Name

The name of this organization shall be Indonesia International Student Association and shall have berbahasa satu, berbahasa Indonesia as tagline. IISA is a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization.

*Article II-Purpose
The purpose of this organization shall be:

1. To promote the Indonesian language, the Indonesian culture, and the Indonesian education system. 2. To promote diversification of any Indonesian university, public as well as private, and technic high schools. 3. To assist in the acclimation of foreign students to IISA. 4. To be a voice for the interests of the international community and to support policies that promote those interests. 5. To welcome and assist incoming International students to Indonesia in cooperation with the DIKTI. 6. To create an atmosphere of fellowship among the members as well as to help improve the scholarly, social, culture awareness, and personal development of members.

7. Willingly participate in events provided by DIKTI, and events organize by others Students and Scholars Offices organizations. 8. Participate in community activities outside of IISA. 9. Willingly take part of voluntary program in education, such as foreign language teaching, to Indonesian youths. 10. Promote discussions on topics of national and international areas of interest amongst its members as well as members of other organizations. 11. To provide forums for the dissemination, discussion and debate of information and knowledge about matters of interest to International Students. 12. Establish a strong alumni network that would provide mentorship for current and prospective international student in Indonesia. 13. To provide and promote flow of information among the University community and the international arena.

*Article III -Membership

*Section 1. Regular membership in this organization shall be open to any full-time or part-time student, knb students (Kemitraan Negera Berkembang) as well as darmasiswa program students, exchange program students, any other international student that study in Indonesia, or already completed his studies in Indonesia. Also to be a member of the organization the member has to fulfill, a commitment to IISA and to its purpose. *Section 2. No person shall be denied membership of this organization on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnicity, color, creed, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, political affiliation, marital status, veteran status or physical challenges.

*Article IV-Officers

*Section 1. Officers of the organization shall be as follows:


A. President B. Vice President C. Treasurer D. Secretary E. Social and Projects Chairs F. Webmaster, Publicity and historian Chairs

*Section 2. Officers of this organization shall be elected by a majority vote, Shall had completed at least one year of study in Indonesia, and shall stay in Indonesia for one more year.
*Section 3. Officers shall take office immediately after being elected and will hold their office for a period of one year. * Section 4. Officers shall not be on academic or disciplinary probation at the time of their elections and throughout their term in office. *Section 5. Duties of Officers. A. The President shall be: 1. To direct the organization in implementing its purpose and to aid the Executive Committee in performing their various responsibilities. 2. To call and preside over the meetings of the Executive Committee and the General Body meeting. 3. To set and distribute the agenda of the Executive Committee and General Body meetings in advance of the meeting time in conjunction with the order Executive Committee officers. 4. To act as a spokesperson for IISA. 5. To co-sign all matters dealing with IISA. 6. To approve the yearly budget proposal to be submitted to the DIKTI.

B. The Vice-President shall: 1. To aid the President in being representative of IISA. 2. To aid the President in coordinating the responsibilities of the members of the Executive Committee. 3. To inform the President of items to be placed on the agenda of Executive Committee and General Body meetings in advance of the meeting time 4. To assume the duties of President if the President is temporarily absent. 5. To complete the official term of the Presidency if the elected President resigns, transfers or becomes seriously ill. 6. To oversee the progress of each executive member is completing their assigned tasks.

C. The Treasurer shall: 1. To administer and authorize the expenditure of IISA funds. 2. Keep accurate records of all expenditures and receipts and report the financial state of the organization to the executive board as changes become available. 3. Co-sign all checks with the president. 4. Serve as liaison to the DIKTI Finance Committee 5. To inform President of items to be placed on the agenda of Executive Committee and General Body meetings in advance of the meeting time. 6. To submit written reports on a regular basis to the Executive Committee and to report the membership concerning IISAs accounts. 7. Maintains records of Purchasing Cards. 8. Subject to all expenditures. Expenditures must be approved by either President or Vice President 9. To draw up the budget for the fiscal year in consultation with the Executive Committee and subject to the approval of the President of IISA and to submit the budget to the DIKTI.

D. The Secretary shall: 1. Keep accurate minutes of all meetings of the Executive Committee and the General Body meting and to make them available promptly to the membership of the respective bodies and to the advisor. 2. To maintain the official roster of current members. 3. To be responsible for all correspondence between the Association and outside entities. 4. To inform President of items to be placed on the agenda of Executive Committee and General Body meetings in advance of the meeting time 5. To inform the Office if international Students about the IISA activities. 6. To assist the Executive Committee in the achievement of the goals of IISA. 7. Shall keep records of updates to the Association Constitution 8. Oversee the progress of the Historian in completing the tasks E. The Social and Projects Chair shall: 1. Organize social and recreational activities in pursuance of the purpose of IISA. 2. To coordinate IISAs social and recreational activities with other groups on campus and with groups in other schools. 3. To work with the Publicity Chairs to appoint a committee for assistance with social events as needed. 4. To organize cultural, educational and philanthropic events. 5. To coordinate DISAs cultural, educational and philanthropic activities with other groups on campus. 6. Reserve venues and entertainment equipment for events. 7. To assist the Executive committee in the achievements of the goals of IISA. F. The Webmaster, Publicity and historian Chair shall: 1. Design and distribute publicity for general meetings and special events by working closely with the organizers of the events. 2. Manage official invitations for events. 3. To oversee the publication and distribution of newsletter; to appoint a newsletter committee as needed.

4. Be responsible for the filing of the documentation, records and pictures related to IISA events. 5. Be responsible for the production of videos and audio record of IISA events. 6. Keep the website updated and with relevant information concerning all the needs of the organization 7. Inform the President and the rest of the officers of the websites content changes. 8. Maintain a secure copy of all the website files.

*Article V Meetings

*Section 1. A regularly scheduled general meeting shall be held at least once every six months. The officers may call additional meetings when the need arises. *Section 2. A quorum shall consist of 50% of the regular members. * Section 3. A quorum shall be present in order for any official business to be conducted. Official business shall include election of officers and any other major decisions affecting the organization as a whole.

*Article VIAdvisor

*Section 1. This organization shall have one advisor who shall be a KUI professional staff member, in any university or high school. *Section 2. The advisor shall be elected in accordance with the DIKTI guidelines.

*Article VII Finances

*Section 1. If the organization dissolves, any accumulated funds will be returned to the DIKTI.

*Article VIIIAmendments

*Section 1. All amendments to this constitution require previous notice of at least 1 week prior to being discussed and voted upon. *Section 2. All amendments require a 2/3 vote, quorum being present, for adoption.

*Section 3. Amendments become effective only after approval by the Rules Committee of the DIKTI. *Article IX Date of Validation The 2011-2012 officers validate this constitution on May 1th, 2013.
