Dillons going to Ukraine (Titus Project 2014)

February 10th May 5th 2014

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faithful of Gods elect and their knowledge of the truth, which accords with godliness, (Titus 1:1)

Greetings friends, I am sending out this letter to inform where the Lord is leading me to next. After coming to Taiwan for a missions focus, Ive partner with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Ive been a participant of two of YWAMs schools as a missionary and student, the Discipleship Training School (DTS) and School of Biblical Studies (SBS), and now the Lord is challenging and leading me to go on and do another training school called Titus. The Titus Project is a 3-month program designed to develop SBS graduates in communication skills and equip them for teaching and preaching on the mission field. The Titus Project program is 12 weeks long, and consists of 3 weeks of a training/preparation phase, and then 8 weeks of mission work/outreach, and 1 week of debriefing. During the Training and Preparation phase, we will receive training in how to put together and present bible teaching, with opportunities to practice and receive feedback. Learning styles, how to illustrate effectively, teaching cross-culturally, and other communication-related topics will also be covered. During the Outreach/Mission phase, teams consisting of 3-4 participants (plus a staff) are sent out to teach and preach, training up church leaders around the world in God's Word. Teaching usually consists of passing on the tools of the Inductive Method, Bible Overview, and teaching through a variety of books of the Bible. Other speaking opportunities may include teaching Biblical topics or preaching.

I will be 1 of 23 students in the March Titus class. We have already begun to pray weekly for where teams will be sent out to, contacts, and for the teams themselves since October this last year. All of us were broken up into 6 different teams thatll go to one of these countries: (1) Philippines/Taiwan, (2) Japan, (3) Nagaland (India), (4) Ukraine, (5) China, or (6) Taiwan/Indonesia. I will be apart of the Ukraine team with 3 others. This last year I completed the School of Biblical Studies and graduated on December 13, 2013. The school for me was the most foundational time of growth in my life where my knowledge of God, my love for His Word, and my heart for applying Scripture to my personal/missionary walk grew a lot. [SBS is a 9-month school that teaches students the inductive method in which they have a teacher teach a book of the bible and then the students will then go through that book five times with steps like studying background information, observing, interpreting, and then applying the text with the time given.] From graduating SBS and now going on to Titus, I see it as just an awesome opportunity to serve by going and giving out what Ive been blessed with to people that are asking for help with teaching, people that are seeking how to study, read and teach the Bible, and people that have been praying for teachers to be sent to them.

Support Details: The Ukraine/ What my team will

I believe God has called me on this missions trip to Ukraine to teach and preach the Word of God. I am setting out with faith that God will be faithful to make provision during this time. All of my income for this missions trip will come from a partnership with those who believe in me, pray for me, and give to this missions trip. YWAM is a non-profit missions organization and the members live and function primarily through relationship-based support.

I am in need to raise a minimum of $2,600 to cover training time, outreach/mission traveling, and outreach ground expenses (food, housing, and transportation) for this school. My deadline to buy my plane ticket is February 10th 2014. I am currently seeking supporters who would like to tithe money to this training and 2-month missions trip. Donations can be however much one feels led to give. I also need people to support me prayerfully, praying for my emotional, physical, and spiritual strength while Im serving.

Please take some time to pray, asking God to show how you can help further this outreach whether that is giving or praying. If you would like to make a donation it is very simple: 1. Donations can be made via PayPal by visiting the Donate page on my blog: http://dillonthedodd.weebly.com/ 2. Personal checks may be sent to my Parents address (they have banking capability) at: Dillon Dodd 3F., No. 129., Ln 102 Xuefu Rd Tamsui District New Taipei City, Taiwan ROC 251

I understand that I am asking for a commitment from you, so when you join my support team, I will also be committed to you! I will be sending out newsletters and regular updates, informing how the school is going and to update you with our mission and how it is impacting the people and communities were reaching out to.
