SIS !0! 2,,61 Network is a browser based web ser)er. 7 SIS !0! network *an be installed wit.in a dealer8s *entral store or wit.in a satellite store. T.e parts *ounter ser)er exa3ple *an be a standalone ser)er if a *entral ser)er is not desired or SIS Web is t.e 3ain sour*e for t.e Ser)i*e Infor3ation S9ste3. Network SIS *an be installed as a s3all network of approxi3atel9 fi)e users 4parts *ounter network is an exa3ple5 at a satellite store. T.e installation t.at follows does not in*lude t.e .ardware *onfiguration or se*urit9 steps ne*essar9 to set up t.e SIS !0! browser based network o)er t.e internet or W7N. T.e setup t.at follows is for an intranet or %7N setup. #ore t.an one SIS !0! network *an exist wit.in a dealer store. 7 dealer 3a9 deter3ine a SIS !0! network is benefi*ial for t.e parts *ounter as a ba*kup or as a standalone *onfiguration. If 3ore t.an one .ard dri)e is a)ailable on t.e ser)er: it *ould be benefi*ial to install t.e software and !0! data 4disk ( to 25 on different dri)es. T.is *ould speed up a**ess to Network SIS. T.e fi)e disks are a total of approxi3atel9 6, gigab9tes of data.
T.e installer 3ust run setup.exe and not t.e laun*..exe t.at nor3all9 *o3es up w.en t.e dri)e .as auto@pla9 of t.e C!@'o3=!0! dri)e set. T.e installer 3ust also *lose t.e install progra3 if it *o3es up be*ause auto@pla9 is set. 4Close figure 6 below if it appears during an install of WTS or Citrix ser)er.5

SIS 'outer
SIS 'outer onl9 needs to be installed if Windows Ter3inal Ser)er 4WTS5 is running on t.e ser)er and if SIS integration wit. !1S or Ser)i*e 7d)isor is desired. SIS 'outer is an appli*ation *reated b9 Caterpillar to install t.e router ser)i*e for SIS Network. T.e ser)er 3ust be running Windows NT 6., or abo)e.
Warning # his installation will shut down a running SIS 4outer service and replace it.

Router Command
T.e SIS 'outer was installed as a ser)i*e so t.e router will start auto3ati*all9 w.ene)er t.e ser)er is started. If t.e router is s.utdown for so3e reason and 9ou need to restart it: use t.e Start=Stop ser)i*es fun*tion lo*ated in t.e Control Panel.
