DR RACHEL STONE
BVSc [Massey]; Cert. Equine Stud Medicine [RCVSc]; MANZCVSc Eq Dent

Rachel is a private practitioner with over 25yrs experience in the industry. Her practical humble approach to veterinary science has earned her the reputation of being one of the most sensible and likable vets in the profession internally and with clients. Dr Stone teaches dentistry to the Murdoch University Students and spends most of her clinical time on Equine dentistry. She has worked in equine medicine in New Zealand, UK, Malaysia and Australia. Rachel has been an active member of the Australian Veterinary Association nationally and regionally. Dr Stone is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Dentistry. A recent attendee said One of the best things about learning with Rachel is you really can see how dentistry can be a very rewarding part of clinical practice. On rare days off, Rachel enjoys scuba diving and pleasure riding.

DR JAMIE WEARN
BVSc GradDipVetClinStud MS Diplomate ACVIM

Jamie is completely dedicated to the best education and practice for equine veterinary surgeons. Graduating in 2003 from the University of Sydney, he continued as an intern to build a foundation for excellent equine practice. Dr Wearn moved to the USA and attended the Hagyard Equine Medicine institute to complete his fellowship. A residency at Virginia followed in 2007 and Dr Wearn achieved his diploma of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2010 becoming a DACVS in that same year. Jamie also has a masters from Virginia Polytechnic and many journal articles published. He has worked in Australia, the USA and England in private clinical practice as well as on a multinational thoroughbred stud. Jamies exposure to the variety of clients in the industry as well as his exceptional training background gives him the insight every practitioner needs to manage cases in the clinical setting, which he is happy to share and teach on. Jamie is also married to an equine veterinary surgeon and currently offers a referral service on the gold coast of QLD.
