SCENARIO: You are a member of the think-tank team. You report to Mike, the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTM (The organisation is the same as assignment 1 Managing Business Activities to Achieve Results). The case study on this paper is derived from industry sources. However the situation is real with the expansion of a company into a new geographic market. Currently there are no standard manuals or guidelines for health and safety. This is based on the regulation of the host countrys concern and their health and safety authorities. The above data has been based on real life organisations, but details have been changed for assessment purposes and do not reflect the current management practices. You are asked to write a report to Mike and his Think tank team relating performance monitoring and health and safety issue Task 3: Monitoring and improving performance on the following: Design systems to manage and monitor quality standards specified by MTM (3.1) Demonstrate a quality culture to ensure continuous monitoring, evaluation and development of the process. (3.2) Based on 3 functional areas recommend improvements which align with the MTMs objectives and goals and which result in improvements (3.3) Provide a specific report on the wider implications of proposed changes within MTM (3.4) Task 4: Managing Risk, Health and Safety issues on the following: Carry out risk assessments as required by legislation, regulation and organisational requirements ensuring appropriate action is taken (4.1)
