MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN INDUSTRY (Name) AND Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology, Indore For Non Obligatory Internship

/ Experiential learning. PREAMBLE Whereas, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology, (SAIT) are responsible of formally qualifying and practically training engineering students to become technical and scientific manpower in various front-line areas of importance for the industry and for the country, by undertaking theoretical and practical, industrial & applied training, experiential learning, research and consultancy, within permissible formal norms as well as their formal status to conduct such programs , authenticated by A.I.C.T.E./U.G.C., New Delhi and Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, M.P. WHEREAS, INDUSTRY is engaged in manufacturing of_________________________________________ its research, design and development and consultancy in the field of ____________________________and related fields. WHEREAS, both SAIT and INDUSTRY, -Recognizing the importance of training, research and development in the areas ______________, as well as imparting industrial training to the engineering/technology/sciences students. - Appreciating the need for creation of adequately qualified manpower in all fields related ______________________ - Desiring to club their efforts by pooling their expertise and resources, INTEND to form a synergy for promoting excellent quality manpower in the fields of engineering, technology and sciences with special emphasis on ________________and related fields etc. THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual intent shown herein, SAIT and INDUSTRY hereby agree to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU). ARTICLE-I: SCOPE OF THE MOU This MOU details the modalities and general conditions regarding collaboration between SAIT and INDUSTRY for enhancing, within the country, the availability of well trained industry employable qualified manpower in the areas of ___________________without any prejudice to prevailing rules and regulations in SAIT and INDUSTRY. ARTICLE-II: SCOPE AND TERMS OF INTERACTIONS Industrial visit by the students / in-plant training / students' projects. Human Resources exchange programme. Jointly conducting short term courses, seminars and symposia. Utilizing the infrastructure facilities-at eithers facilities. Developing computer and web based training,practical training Developing technology support. Acheiving qulaity and productivity improvement. Developmental activities related to newer technology. Facilitating INDUSTRY staff for doing a Ph.D. at SAIT Joint custodian of intellectual property, filing and maintenance.

Joint publications of books and monographs. Establishment of academic centre for excellence Offering Consultancy and jointly taking Projects Curriculum- development and modification ARTICLE-III : SHARING OF FACILITIES a) SAIT and INDUSTRY shall make provisions to share their respective important R&D facilities in order to promote academic and research interaction in the areas of cooperation. b) SAIT and INDUSTRY shall permit the sharing software and other materials and components developed inhouse in the areas of cooperation, if permissible within the rules governing the two institutions. c) SAIT and INDUSTRY shall provide access to the library facilities to scientists, members of faculty and students as per the prevailing rules and norms in the respective institutes. d) SAIT shall conduct occasion MDP programs for the relevant supervisory and managerial staff from INDUSTRY through its Management Institute. ARTICLE-V : EFFECTIVE DATE AND DURATION OF MOU (a) This MOU shall be effective from the date of its approval by competent authorities at both ends. b) The duration of the MOU shall be for a period of ______ years from the effective date. c) During its tenancy, the MOU may be extended or terminated by a prior notice of not less than THREE months by either party. However, termination of the MOU will not in any manner affect the interests of the students/faculty/scientists who have been admitted to pursue a programme under the MOU. d) Any clause or article of the MOU may be modified or amended by mutual agreement of authorized representatives of INDUSTRY and SAIT. ARTICLE-VI : IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Rights regarding publications, patents, royalty, ownership of software/design/product developed etc. under the scope of this MOU, shall be decided by the two parties by mutual consent. ARTICLE-VII: CONFIDENTIALITY During the tenure of the MOU both SAIT and INDUSTRY will maintain strict confidentiality and prevent disclosure of all the information and data exchanged under the scope of this MOU for any purpose other than in accordance with this MOU. ARTICLE-VIII : AMENDMENTS Any amendment and/or addenda to the AGREEMENT shall be in writing and signed by the PARTIES hereto and shall only after such execution be deemed to form part of the AGREEMENT. IN WITNESS WHEREOF PARTIES HERE TO HAVE ENTERED INTO THIS AGREEMENT EFFECTIVE AS ON THE DATE AND YEAR FIRST WRITTEN ABOVE.
