MS &PhD in Chemistry@
Introduction
The Chemistry department at LUMS aspires to establish itself as an internationally recognized and globally competitive center for graduate teaching and research. We take pride in our Departments unique ability to initiate and maintain internationally recognized research programs in a wide variety of chemical disciplines for the last few years including nanoscience and nanomedicine, materials chemistry, polymer sciences, and synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry. Our faculty consists of an outstanding group of scientific leaders who are committed to pursuing and maintaining excellence in research. Research is at the heart of chemistry faculty and they have already demonstrated this by publishing research articles in highly prestigious and high impact international journals including Nature, Nature Materials, Advanced Materials, Angewandte Chemie - Int. Ed., Journal of the American Chemical Society, Nano Letters, ACS Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, ACS Nano, Small, Chemistry of Materials, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Communications, Langmuir, Nanoscale, and Journal of Natural Products etc. Now that we have opened our doors to graduate students, it is an exciting opportunity for them to take advantage of our fertile research environment. Our mission is to produce outstanding graduates who can excel and become future leaders in academia and industry.
