Walter Scott's creation in the context of the English Romanticism. 1.1 Identify the main cycles of the novels, features and examples in W.Scott's creation. 1.2 Give 5 arguments to consider the novel "Ivanhoe" in the context of the English Romanticism.

-1.1 England can be considered the homeland of romanticism, because antibourgeois trends that were to be typical romantics occurred here before than in other countries. English romantics are headed more toward nature univers and of feelings, but, by virtue of position more advanced development of english society, will react more directly to contemporary events, approaching social - political issues and movements of the national liberation. One of these romantics and novelists is Walter Scott , who is foremost novelist of english romanticism, considered the creator of the historical novel and european. He is the middle point and the culmination of English romanticism. In novelistic creation of Walter Scott stands out several cycles of historical writing: - about the history of Scotland (Waverley, Puritans(Puritanii), Rob Roy, ; - about the history of England (Ivanhoe, The Abbot, The Monastery); and about history of other countries (the novel Quentin Durward describes the epoch of reign of the french king Ludovic 11th.
