South Eugene High School

South Eugene High School is committed to developing students to their best potential and to prepare them for the practical world. The school and its diverse student body take great pride in the large number of opportunities provided at its campus. With high priority on giving best quality education, the school provides a choice of highly qualified staff and a very vibrant curriculum. South Eugene is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a premier high school in the nation. The focus is on providing academic excellence, opportunities and student development. The vibrant curriculum of South Eugene High School includes a wide range of activities and a highly competitive athletic program. The curriculum is built around college preparation, studentrun businesses, health occupations, International Baccalaureate (International High School) and French Immersion. South provides extraordinary variety, from four foreign languages to a Fine Arts department that includes band, choir, drama, theater, orchestra and the visual arts. Computers are incorporated in an interdisciplinary fashion, allowing students to use contemporary technology in their academic explorations. Two computer labs are available to students with Internet access and e-mail service. The school governance model involves all stake holder groups in an intricate plan that supports consensus decision making. A network is built between student through the peer group advising and different societies and clubs. Apart from academics, extracurricular activities are given as much importance. Different levels of athletic participation are offered during three separate sport seasons. The different levels are: varsity, junior varsity, and freshman. SEHS sports offers Cross Country, Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Swimming and many others. There are many dedicated societies and clubs too.

Wilson High School


At Wilson, teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents work together to help all students reach their academic potential and to prepare for college admission and success. The programs
allow students to pursue a challenging course of study and encourage high academic performance and intellectual growth while also allowing students who excel in fine and performing arts to develop their various talents.

In addition to offering a challenging and rigorous curriculum, there are many programs and classes in place to help students reach their full potential. Advanced Placement (AP) courses
offer a higher level of rigor, prepare students to take AP exams, or to pursue an Advanced Placement International Diploma.

Students are encouraged to take a rigorous academic course load, balanced by extracurricular activities for a well-rounded high school experience. Whether it's sports, performance, or nonacademic clubs, every student should be engaged outside of class in one or more activities that provide important community-building opportunities and engage the mind and body in other ways. Wilson has a successful athletic program for both men and women and it is competing at the 5A level across Oregon and is a perennial power in the Portland Interscholastic League (PIL). Wilson students participate in club lacrosse, rugby, skiing, snowboarding, sailing, chess, mock trial, model united nations, and many more extracurricular activities for all interests. Wilson High School is alive with creative and passionate individuals and a sense of infinite possibilities. Wilson has a Performing Arts program as well which offers the opportunity for students to develop their interests and talents in drama and music. Thus both academic as well extracurricular are given equal importance at Wilson.

Julia R. Masterman Middle and High School


Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School is the most highly ranked school in the School District of Philadelphia and scores at the highest level on the Pennsylvania System of Statewide Assessment. Masterman has been named a 2010 National Blue Ribbon school, one of just two high schools in the state of Pennsylvania. For the past four years, Masterman has been cited by Philadelphia Magazine as one of the best high schools in the tri-state area. Masterman teachers are demonstration teachers who are expected to provide an enriched and accelerated curriculum and to support students involvement in curriculum-related activities.

The Julia R. Masterman School has an elite and diverse faculty and staff that are dedicated to educating the students and enriching their lives. The school follows a rigorous and enrich curriculum. Students follow a college preparatory curriculum. Students attain advanced levels of study in enriched and accelerated courses. The great majority of the students are identified as mentally gifted. Various seminars are offered such as: poetry, journalism, SAT Preparation, Russian, African American studies, literary magazine, writers workshop, art, music, and photography. Community service projects are also an integral part of the high school elective program and a senior project is required.

Masterman offers a range of co-educational, interscholastic sports on both the varsity and junior varsity level including basketball, cross-country, soccer, tennis, track and volleyball and participates on unified teams with other schools in gymnastics and swimming. Masterman offers many co-curricular activities including orchestra and jazz band, choir and other vocal and instrumental ensembles, student government, webteam, dramatics, yearbook, newspaper, an award winning literary magazine, a nationally-ranked chess team, a championship mock trial team, competition in academic contests, science fairs, and many clubs.

Oregon City High School


Oregon City High School has obtained an outstanding AYP rating three consecutive years in a row from the Oregon Department of Education. The school is a member of Oregon School Activities Association and the Three Rivers League with a 6-A Athletic Classification.
