Stewardship & Development

Stewardship Thought: Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, and the dead are raised Matthew 11:4-5 When Jesus cured the sick we called it a miracle. Yet God has blessed us with many good things our eyesight, our hearing, our talents, our health and so much more and we often take it all for granted. The good steward recognizes every blessing in life as a miracle from God and strives to use those gifts for Gods honor and glory.

Pro - Life Messages

According to the website of the Alan Guttmacher Institute, 43% of women will have had at least one abortion by the age of 45. That's a lot of abor tion, and a lot of pain. Those who suffer from the aftereffects of this procedure and seek guidance and counseling may call the National Office of Post-Abortion Reconciliation and Healing at 1-800-5-WE-CARE.

Parish Development Thought: Ther e is still time to make a gift to benefit our parish or our diocese that can bring you a healthy Montana Tax Credit (much better than a tax deduction) when tax time rolls around in a few months. For help, contact the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana at 800-3329998, ext. 120 or stewardship@diocesegfb.org.

2014 Spring Fling Quilt

UPDATE ON 2014 SPRING FLING RAFFLE QUILT The donation can for the Spring Fling raffle quilt is still in the back of the church. Thanks to all those who have already so generously contributed. For those of you who dont know, this is not a PCCW project, but a project taken on by some of the quilters in the parish who donate their time and fabric to make a quilt to donate to the PCCW for their raffle. The expenses we try to recover are for the batting, backing and quilting, which usually run around $300. To date we have collected $135. If you have not already contributed, please consider donating a few dollars. Thank you!

Mass Intentions
As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention. Please consider having Masses celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as those who are in need of prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their deaths. Contact Fr. Cory for more information!

To reserve the Parish Basement or other St. Marys facility, please contact Fr. Cory or Lana at the Parish Office (email office@SaintMarysMalta.org).

Any announcements for next Sundays bulletin need to be in by 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday

The PCCW Christmas party will be Wednesday, December 18, at 5:30 pm in the parish basement. Please join us in celebrating the joyous season of our Lords birth. We will have a soup supper followed by delivering goodies to our parish shut-ins. We are asking each band to donate 2 doz. Cookies delivered to the church basement before that evening. If you know anyone you think should be added to the shut-in list, please let Margaret Hanson, Wilma Mavencamp, Diana Liebel, or any member who will be there . The general church cleaning will be Satur day, Dec. 21, 2013 at 9:00 am. There should not be a lot to do with the new carpet and Dianas weekly cleaning. Please help us get the church ready for the Christmas masses. Thank You.
