way over days or months or years. Before you can change, you need
to reset those patterns. No matter how hard you work at eating and
exercising right, other programs cant get you what you want because
they dont supply the real missing link.
The Juice Cleanse Reset Diet is a jump start to new habits and
renewed health. Resetting your system is the single step that creates fewer cravings, lasting weight loss, increased energy, glowing
skin, and a healthy body.
The Resets
While our bodies are generally very adept at removing toxins,
sometimes all of the toxins in our food, the air we breathe, and the
everyday products we use to clean our houses, wash our hair, and
moisturize our skin are more than our bodies can handle. Different
circumstances and toxins can overtax our digestive system and our
cleansing organs. Maybe you have experienced the aftereffects of a
night of too much drinking. It seems it takes the entire next day for
your body to get rid of the toxins and for you to start feeling normal again. Or maybe you have been out to a great restaurant with
friends and you overindulged in fried foods and dessert. That night,
you have trouble sleeping because your stomach is rumbling and
upset. Or you may have taken antibiotics and other drugs to help
your body recover from an illness. As a result, your energy is low and
you feel sluggish from residual chemicals.

Next Steps
As you embark on the Juice Cleanse Reset Diet, you will strip away
old habits, thought patterns, and stored-up toxins to reset your body
and your health. You do not need to stop your busy life or become a
vegetarian or a vegan. You will just learn the best way to eat and live
within your preferences. You will discover that not every calorie is
created equal and that nutrient-dense foods can satisfy you like you
never imagined.
You wont starve yourself or even feel hungry. In the first few days,
you will eat delicious foods frequently, and drink yummy smoothies
and juices that you will learn to make for yourself. By changing your
diet to include whole foods that contain natural fiber, beneficial fat,
and protein, you will notice that you need less food to feel satisfied
and you will stay satisfied longer. This isnt a crash diet. This is a reset.
In the next chapter, well tell you everything you need to know to
get ready to cleanse. If youre anxious to get started and just want
to jump in with both feet, you can skip ahead to the test on page 42
to find out what sort of cleanse you need and then head to chapter
3 to start the precleanse phase. However, the information that follows helps you prepare your life, your kitchen, and your mindset for
cleansing, and gives you the start you need to be successful. Lets go!
