Day 1 Schema Activation Intro to Racquet Sports Warm up Fitness ActivityRelays Explain how racquet sports are very similir to Volley ball Demonstrate how to hold each racquet and have the students do the same Have students post on Facebook one way to hold a racquet for whichever sport they choose Day 8 Badminton Warm up Fitness ActivityClass Choice Show how to return a serve and have the students get in groups and return a serve from each other Have the students begin to volley with each other and if enough time have them play a game Explain the rules of the game Have the students get into partners of three and volley with eachother Facebook assessment on how to hold a racquet is due before class Have the students begin to play competively Set up a Kings court style tournament Demonstratio n on how to play pickle ball Have students get into partners, serve the ball and return the serve Have students learn how to do a back hand by my demonstration Students will begin to split into teams and play a game to five and switch. Demonstrate various techniques of how to spin the ball just like in ping pong Discuss stragety and have the students begin to volley with eachother If time have students play a kings court version of tennis

have all racquet sports set up in the gym and assess the students on there ability of how to serve and return a serve Also have students post on my assessment page two different strageties for each sport That will be due the next day

Key Objectives for each day/Nets Standards Addressed Students will be able to... Day 1-Understand how to hold each racquet. Activate Schema by relating Eclipse ball to Volleyball and then how each racquet sport is unique but also the same Explain rules of each sport Every student will have an understanding of how to hold the different racquets NETS standards 1, 3, and 4 Day 2-Explain in more detail of how Eclipse Ball is played and show stragety Have all students participate in a volley technique and work together as a team Day 3-The students will have a clear understanding of how the game is played and will participate in a competitive game Day 4-Explain in greater detail of the rules of Pickle ball Have students acquire the skill of serving and return a serve Day 5-Show how to do a backhand and have students acquire that skill Have students begin to play a game of Pickleball NETS standards 1, 3, and 4

Day 6-Have every students play a competitive game of Pickle ball Understand strategy to the game Day 7-Implement the rules of the game badminton Acquire the knowledge of how to hold the racquet and have the skill to serve successfully Day 8-Acquire the skill to successfully return a serve and how to volley with a partner Explain rules for two player badminton and to have a successful competitive game Analyze the different strageties for badminton Each student will participate in a competive game of badminton Day 9-By the end of the lesson the students will have a knowledge of the rules of the game ping pong Acquire the skills to serve NETS standards 1, 3, and 4 Day 10-Learn how to back hand and apply spin to the ball NETS standards 3 and 6 half the students will be able to apply spin to the pingpong ball Day 11-Students will have the ability to play a competitive game of ping pong Day 12-Acquire the skill to successfully serve and learn how to volley All the students will know the rules of tennis Day 13-Learn how to backhand successfully Day 14-Complete the comprehensive unit assessment NETS standards 3, 4, 5, and 6
