aeon is a time balancing

tool for a new era.

focus.............. 10

Holistic, visually inspiring, and privileging flexibility over linearity, aeon innovatively combines your calendar and to-dos in one, helping you find time for whats important to you. With a basis in neuroscience, aeon then helps you perform more effectively by alternating focus time and valuable downtime throughout your day. aeons qualitative approach to time empowers the user to effectively execute planned activities while radically integrating valued space for important goals and restorative moments.

aeons first distinguishing feature is its holistic, 24-hour day view which is always oriented to the present. In aeon you can see all of your time, not just your work day. aeon rotates around you, in the present moment. The orientation is always now, so you can focus on whats at hand.

In aeon, your scheduled activities appear along the perimeter of your day. They can then be categorized by color, such as pink for health, yellow for tasks, etc. aeon also syncs with your contacts and makes scheduling easier by finding open times for all parties and sending updates if you are late or need to change a meeting time.

aeon helps you balance your time by placing your unscheduled to-dos front and center in your day and helping you find time for them.
17

16

Your unscheduled to-dos are things that are important to you. They are usually on your to-do list, but not on your calendar. Aeon combines your calendar and to-dos in one view, so that you never forget those important to-do items. But then aeon goes further by recognizing opportunity. It can help identify gaps within your day to fill with these important activities, helping you achieve greater balance, health, and happiness thorughout your time each day.

aeon begins by understanding your aspirations your important to-dos. These may be longer term goals like exercising or strategic planning for work. They may also be aspirations like more reading or more family time. In this way, aeon can help you achieve greater health and happiness.

+
aeon places your important to-dos front and center in your day where they are always visible.

+
aeon then innovates by helping you find time in your day to achieve your important to-dos.

effective performance: balancing focus and rest

- focus time - rest time - greater efficacy

+
Studies show that to perform effectively, our mind needs to focus on one task at a time. multitasking and interruptions diminish the quality of our attention. Research also shows that the subconscious network responsible for creativity, learning, and problem solving is strengthened during down time, which could include taking a walk, daydreaming, napping, or chatting with a friend.

=
aeon actively supports both focus time and downtime -- boosting effectiveness and creativity.

22

23

It helps you focus by facilitating a disruption-free environment. Email, chat, and calls can be turned off on your computer, tablet, and smartphone.

aeon then gives you the choice of setting a timer for how long you want to focus.

The blue bubbles in aeons day view are downtime, or space. They sit alongside your other important to-dos.

Just as with your important to-dos, aeon can help you find gaps in your schedule to make sure you are getting valuable downtime that is critical to your cognitive and creative abilities.
