Company Profile
Attar Travel is a sister company of Saddik & Mohammed Attar Company, the leading
pioneers of Saudi Arabian Travel Industry. Established in the year 1952, Attar Travel is the
first fully functional travel company that was registered at Jeddah Chamber of Commerce.
Initially, serving as the only airport-handling agents at the gateway airports, Attar Travel
started its operations in the year 1952 with one outlet in Jeddah and only four regular staff.
Today, Attar travel has more than 45 branches across all the three provinces of the Kingdom
with total staff strength of 580, representing a prestigious portfolio of 16 International
Airlines as General Sales Agent, and serving as Ground Handling Agents for another 13
International Airlines. In a time honored tradition rigidly followed even today our
commitment to offer quality products and services remains unchanged.
Global Presence
Attar Travel has a partnership with Business Travel International (BTI), the world's leading
travel management company that has presence in nearly 80 commercial countries and a
turnover approaching $20 billion. BTI operates more than 3,000 offices throughout Europe,
the Americas, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
Attar Travel is one of the first agencies in the Kingdom linked to the latest and most
sophisticated global reservations computer systems such as Galileo and Amadeus. These
systems make booking airline seats, car hire and hotels a much easier transaction. Internet is
a subject that cannot be ignored in any type of industry today. We have developed our own
website (www.attar.com.sa) and we are aligned with the new Galileo website called
Tassport", which allows online reservations.
Office Security
Attar Travel's annual turnover exceeds US$ 100 million. Our branches deal with an average
of half million-riyal cash daily, which is stored in the safes of our offices and is deposited in
bank the next day. Our security system is unique and is very sophisticated. We have new
equipments in place and trained staff to cater for our security requirements.
Handling of passport requires extra care. Attar Travel will ensure that every possible safety
measure is taken in order to maintain security at all time.
The Proposal
Scope:
The proposal to manage the U.S. visa express service opens up new channels for Travel
Agents to boost their business and at the same time to facilitate the U.S. High Commissions
in issuing visas. Attar Travel and its partner, the TNT Courier Service Company, feels
that they are in position to accept this opportunity and have the necessary resources to
manage and administer this service.
The goal of this service is to reduce the number of applicants going to the U.S. Embassy and
Consulate, reduce the workload on consular's NIV Unit and at the same time provide new
and on-going business opportunity for travel agents and courier service companies.
Attar Travel Company maintains an annual budget of 6.0% - 6.5% of its gross profit for
Advertisements and Sales Promotions. We advertise regularly in international travel
magazines and newsletters. We will utilize different channels for advertising our new
service. Our website will also have link to information on the new visa service that we

primary business objectives.
