The Emirates airline was founded by a group of

business men: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mr. Maurice Flanagan, Sheikh Mohammed and Tim Clark in the early 1980s Based in Dubai United Arab Emirates, owned by the government of Dubai The airline was launched in the year 1984-1985 The name was derived from two options: Air Dubai and Emirates Emirates was the first airline to introduce telecommunications on air bus with all three classes, successfully First route destinations were to Karachi, New Delhi and Bombay and has massively expanded over the years

The airline was voted The Best Airline in the World at the prestigious OAG awards

Emirates received two new aircrafts from Sheikh Mohammed (727-200) October 25th, 1985 first flight from Dubai 1987 negotiations are made for Emirates to fly to London, Istanbul, Frankfurt and Male(capital of Maldives) 1999 the airline enters hotel property with Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa. The logo was designed by the emirates logo group (Negus & Negus) The logo consists of the name Emirates written with Arabic calligraphic letters

Routes and destinations have expanded over the decades internationally . Some of Emirates major routes include: Middle East
Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Qatar, Lebanaon, Saudi Arabia etc.

Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Cote Divoire etc.

Europe
Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland etc.

Asia & the Pacific


Australia, Phillipines, Seychelles, Signapore, Japan, Korea etc.

Their target market is mostly composed of: first class business class however; they also direct the services towards families with children

Emirates fly more than 120 destinations in 70 different countries around the world. Emirates airline have over 170 aircraft, with a mix of Airbus and Boeing Over 200-plus aircrafts has been ordered
