Dec. 1, Sun. 5 PM During the Adamstown Community Christmas in the Grove Tree Lighting Ceremony, we along with other area churches will be providing a reading of the Biblical Christmas story, familiar carols and a simple nativity scene. This will be held in the Adamstown Community Park Grove. Dec. 8 & 9, Sun. & Mon.-from 12 p.m.-2:30 p.m. there will be a fund raising luncheon at The MCC(21 S. 12th St, Akron, PA) in the Meeting Place, Lower Assembly, hosted by Pastor Redeat Abebe and Zemedkun Baykeda, Church Planters under Atlantic Coast Conference, Mennonite USA, who, together with friends, will prepare a buffet with a variety of spicy and mild Ethiopian national foods. Dec. 2, Mon. 7p.m. 8p.m. at the Swamp Christian Fellowship. A community monthly prayer time has recently been started and all area churches are invited to attend. These are held on the first Monday evenings of each month . Dec. 15, Sun. -You are invited to participate in our annual Christmas Caroling . We will sing at Landis Homes at 2:30 p.m. and then meet at church for caroling in the community beginning at 4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall following the caroling.
