ASTM A325

Scope
The ASTM A325 specification covers high strength heavy hex structural bolts from 1/2" iameter through 1!1/2" iameter" These bolts are inten e for use in structural connections an therefore have shorter threa lengths than stan ar hex bolts" #efer to the Structural $olts page of our site for threa lengths an other relate imensions" This specification is applicable to heavy hex structural bolts only" %or bolts of other configurations an threa lengths &ith similar mechanical properties' see Specification A (()" $olts for general applications' inclu ing anchor bolts' are covere by Specification A (()" Also refer to Specification A (() for *uenche an tempere steel bolts an stu s &ith iameters greater than 1!1/2" but &ith similar mechanical properties"
