Base Metal
The crucible creates ionized gas vapors that envelope the melting end of the electrode preventing contamination.
Magna Flux coatings form a "CRUCIBLE ACTION" at the tip of the electrode that increases the molecular velocity and stability of the arc.
"Crucible Action" localizes heat input and prevents undercutting, spatter and base metal damage.
