Welcome to Worship
elcome to New Hope Church, now into our third century serving God! If you are visiting, you will discover a loving, spirit-filled church family. Here is some helpful information as you join us in worship today: All who worship here are equals in the sight of God, regardless of race, age, gender, physical disability or religious affiliation. Communion, when celebrated, is open to all who profess Christ as Lord and Savior, whether affiliated with this church or not. Children may partake of Communion as well, if parents approve. A nursery is available during the service; please see a greeter for directions. (This is for infants and children up to 3 years of age.) Handicap-accessible restrooms are located off the narthex (main foyer) and adjacent to the entrance lobby in the Fellowship Hall/Gym. Please complete the tear-off attendance slip attached to the bulletin and drop it in the offering plate so we will have a record of your visit with us today. Thank you for remembering to silence your cell phone during the service. We ask that there be no food or beverages in the sanctuary, please. If you arrived as a visitor we hope that you leave as a friend and worship with us often! New Hope Church exists to: Glorify God in worship and rejoice in our life together; Share the Good News of the Gospel in word and deed; Reach as many as we can with the saving love of Jesus; Help each person grow toward Christian maturity, and find their place of service in the church and in the world.

12) experience a contemporary and motivated style of worship. We have a service with prayer, singing praises to God and a youth-focused sermon that teach the truths from Gods Word in a way teens relate to and understand. Pastor Brad leads this service, and opens the doors for teens to start coming at 5pm to hang out, play games, and talk. Pastor Brad says, We love hanging out together and worshiping an awesome God! New Hope invites the men of the church and the surrounding community to a weekly Prayer Breakfast each Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m. A devotional is shared over breakfast, and a time of prayer follows before the busy workday begins. In a casual atmosphere men may discuss concerns that stay within the group. A bond between friends develops. This is a meaningful time of fellowship for the men who attend. Visitors are always welcome. Come join us! Stephen Ministry - Got a burden? You dont have to carry that burden alone. You can have a STEPHEN MINISTER who will spend time with you, listen to you, and walk beside you. If you or someone you know is interested in receiving care through the Stephen Ministry program at New Hope, please contact the pastor through the Church office at (615) 449-7020 and request that a Stephen minister contact you.

Thought for the Week

n Budapest, a man went to the rabbi and complained, Life is unbearable. There are nine of us living in one room. What can I do? The rabbi answers, Take your goat into the room with you. The man is incredulous, but the rabbi insists. Do as I say and come back in a week. A week later the man comes back looking more distraught than before. We cannot stand it, he tells the rabbi. The goat is filthy and eating everything. The rabbi then tells him, Go home and let the goat out. And come back in a week. A radiant man returns to the rabbi a week later, exclaiming, Life is beautiful. We enjoy every minute of it now that there's no goat -- only the nine of us.
