I remembered the scene we had created in the corridor yesterday noon.

He's coming, Lia muttered. I leaned in closely, breathing in her sweet smell. It was addicting.

I looked at Asher and he saw both of us leaning to kiss. One inch and I could feel her lips, but I couldn't. She's so close, yet so distant.

When he turned and left, Liana smiled at his back gently. I wanted her to smile at me the same way. I wanted her to like me the same way she liked him, but that was too much to ask.

The warmth I felt a moment before suddenly vanished. Did she do it for making Asher jealous or did she really mean it? I wasn't sure, I wasn't sure about our relationship/friendship anymore.

I pulled my hand out of hers and she looked at me hurt. I didn't want to hurt her, but I couldn't get close to her. I was already deep in trouble as it was, and this warmth and closeness made me yearn for her more.
