Internet Mass Media I have decided to discuss about internet mass media.

I dont say its good, but I dont even say its bad, thats because I try not to pay attention to it. It has its good and bad parts, but unfortunately it seems that bad parts are more. First of all, why I think mass media is bad, thats because the mass media nowdays promote products, people, news, but whats more important it promote even moods, attitudes, senses of what is important and what is not and this list can go forever. The bad part is that in most of cases mass media promote the wrong things, and there is where the problem starts, because a lot of people, especially teenagers (which are the most of internet users) get the meaning of mass media wrong, they look at it like at kind of trend, or something like religion (dont understand me wrong). ass media plays a crucial role in forming of public opinion, and lots of times influent people which can control mass media using different ways, such as money, uses the mass media in their own advantages, which confuse the masses. Thats a big problem because in our days, people think that its incorrect to change their opinion based on a new information, if they heard a new, or any other thing that was promoted by media, theyll think that is the only correct information and will argue the others opinion, they wont change their minds even if theyll hear a new information that is more truth like, logical, because people dont like to accept their mistakes, so theyll stay with their maybe incorrect opinion whatever happens. !ut now about internet mass media, internet mass media is the most social media, because internet is a great place to communicate, this form of communication is very popular nowdays on social networks. I think that social networks are first way to manipulate people trough mass media, because in social networks news travel really fast, even from persons from other countries, and this advantage can be used for good purposes such as" I dont know, encouraging people to do sport, and can be used for bad purposes to such as children being influenced by smoking stars, se# images, violence movies and others. $ocial networks are a great place to get famous, and unfamous to, especially along the teenagers. I heard a lot of horrible tellings from such social networks, for e#ample a boy had and argue with another boy from his class, a the second with another amount boys, took his photos from internet, changed them in photoshop and posted back on the social network, a lot people laughed at him, posted a lot commentaries, liked the photos, finaly the first boy was so ashamed that he commite suicide, and all that %ust from a stupid photos and a minor opinion on his person. &r another one, which really happened to a friend of mine, everyone knows those application on facebook, about everything, really everything" which in most of cases are based on" nothing, so his girlfriend left him because in one of those application were said that they dont one for another. 'nd I wont tell about the ideals of beauty on which teenagers go cra(y because of mass media, I think thats clear for everyone. Thats the worst feature of mass media ) it destroys the individuals capacity to act and think autonomously. !ut thats %ust social area, but are a lot of anothers which are promoted by mass media, such a politics. in most of cases, corporations that control the mass media prefert to hide an amount or the entire thruth from the people, if it affects their interests, as an e#ample can be revolutions from *ussia, at the end of +,-+nd year, I think that few of you heard about them, and there is nothing surprising, because it was forbidden to spread any information about this, and all channels of information were censured and filtred, so as little amount of people could discover about this. 'nd that process happened in a lot of countries like turkey, .eorgia and others. 'nother form of manipulating the masses using media is lets says" changing the truth based on the true information %ust changing the way to show it to people, the best e#ample I can show you in this images and I think that youll understand what I mean. 'nd the point there I think Ill finish my discuss is about rascism in the mass media, For e#ample, after the attacks of /0--, the media spread this information all around and e#posed &samas !enladen guilt for the attacks, this shaped public opionion to support the war on terrorism and later the war on ira1, not to say that it change the public opion un hindu people. &r a good e#ample is how mass media has played a large role in the way white 'mericans perceive 'frican2 'mericans. The media focus on 'frican2'merican in the conte#ts of crime, drug use, gang violence, and other forms of anti2social behavior which made an harmful public perception of all 'frican2'mericans.
