In Local News An Elizabeth man wounded while walking in Linden, two people sought in shooting. The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. Sunday when the 26-year-old victim was walking on Passaic Avenue near Peter Street with a friend and heard shots, The two friends ran for cover then the victim felt a pain in his shoulder and realized he had been shot,

Study shows: 15 percent of U.S. youth out of school & work. Almost 6 million young people are neither in school nor working, according to a study released Monday. That's almost 15 percent of those aged 16 to 24 who have neither desk nor job, according to The Opportunity Nation coalition, which wrote the report.

Just look at some of the nation's largest cities. Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Riverside, Calif., all have more than 100,000 idle youth, the Opportunity Nation report found, said Mike Mangiardi. Chinese couple sells babies for iPhones and shoes, authorities say

A Shanghai couple are facing charges after allegedly selling three of their newborns to pay for iPhones, computers and high-end shoes, Chinese authorities said. The husband and wife, both in their early 30s and identified only as Teng and Zhang, face multiple charges of trafficking of women and children, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported Friday. The husband is in custody, and his wife posted bail, China's Ministry of Public Security said. The shanghai police have been investigating this couple since May after giving tips that they have been posting ads online to sell their baby on an Asian website similar to Craigslist. After tracking down the IP address the police force arrested them in June. Once arrested the couple has admitted to selling three of their newborn babies in recent years for a total of 13,000 dollars. They sold the first baby in 2008, the second in 2011 and the third - the girl -- this year. The selling of babies in China has been a problem in the past.

In 2011, the Ministry of Public Security announced that a cross-provincial investigation busted two baby-trafficking rings and rescued 29 newborns in the eastern province of Shandong. The babies were purportedly sold by their biological parents in southwestern China's Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan provinces, the ministry said.

Though Michael Vick has rehabilitated himself in the eyes of the law and the football world, and happens to be a great player in my opnion and the quarterback of my favorite team, his image has yet to recover. The injured Philadelphia Eagles quarterback easily topped a Forbes poll of the NFLs most disliked players, with more than half of respondents expressing a dislike for him. Pollsters told Forbes that Vick scores better among hardcore football fans, but doesnt rate highly with casual fans. The number 2 on the list is, Chargers rookie Manti Teo, charting at no.3 this year Ndamukong Suh the Detroit Lions, number 4 on the list is Ben Roethlisberger.
