Thomas Robert Malthus (February 13, 1766-December 23, 1834) A population is summation of all the organisms of the same group or species, which live in the same geographical area, and have the capability of interbreeding. Thomas Robert Malthus English economist and demographer who were best known for his theory that population growth will always tend to outrun the food supply and that betterment of humankind is impossible without stern limits on reproduction. This thinking is commonly referred to as Malthusianism. Most well-known work An Essay on the Principle of Population was published in1798 He argued that increases in population would eventually diminish the ability of the world to feed itself and based this conclusion on the thesis that populations expand in such a way as to overtake the development of sufficient land for crops.
