V. ILLUSTRATION
Process Happening In Computer
1. ROM BIOS stores the first instruction in the start up program, which is the instruction to run the POST

2. Once the POST has determined that all components are functioning properly and the CPU has successfully initialized, the BIOS looks for an Operating System to load and the order of drives that the CMOS looks to in order to locate the OS is called the booting sequence

3. Once the OS initializes, the BIOS copies its files into memory and the OS basically takes over control of the boot process. Now in control, the OS performs another inventory of the system's memory (RAM) and memory availability (which the BIOS already checked) and loads the device drivers that it needs to control the peripheral devices, such as a printer, scanner, optical drive, mouse and keyboard.

VI. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. What are the significance of setting up the BIOS/CMOS? The significance of setting up BIOS/CMOS is to make the computer successfully boot for which the user can access the systems applications to perform tasks. 2. What is the OS installed in the PC assigned to you? Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 3. List down all application software program that are installed. Microsoft Word 2010 Microsoft Excel 2010 Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Windows Media Player Windows Movie Maker Adobe Reader XI Solitaire Pinball MSN Internet Explorer Microsoft Publisher 2010 Microsoft One Note 2010 4. What is the difference between right and left button clicking of mouse in terms of menu presentation? The difference is the right button pops out the list of utilities on that menu or list of possible actions for an object while left button is selecting something usually a certain file, as a target for some action.

VII. DISCUSSION
During our first activity, we had a new atmosphere in our computer laboratory because last meeting we were in room 215 but now, the lab that we used for activity number 2 is room 205. If last meeting I was in the front row, now I am on the last row from the right because most of my classmates come first. Then, Sir Pablo told us to open our computer and the number of my computer is 39. After that, he told us how to access to BIOS so we turned on our computer and tap F2 until the DELL SYSTEM 360 appeared. After it appeared, we jot down all the data that listed in every menu and their definition including the submenu. We also tried to pause/break key to stop when we turned on the computer. After that, we turned off the computer. Next meeting, we copied the objectives and the entire format for activity number 2. After that, Sir Pablo explained the Process happening in the computer, He said ROM BIOS which is *Ontiplex 360 stores the first instruction in the start up program, which is the instruction to run the POST. Once the POST (Power-On-Self-Test) has determined that all components are functioning properly and the CPU has successfully initialized, the BIOS looks for an Operating System to load and the order of drives that the CMOS looks to in order to locate the OS is called the booting sequence. *(Example of POST is KEYBOARD ERROR which appears in your screen if there is a problem and also warning sound that you may hear). Once the OS initializes, the BIOS copies its files into memory and the OS basically takes over control of the boot process. Now in control, the OS performs another inventory of the system's memory (RAM) and memory availability (which the BIOS already checked) and loads the device drivers. *Hanging up causes of RAM memory full. Next meeting, we turned our computer and opened MS Word and print screen the Desktop and MS word and we label the parts of it on MS Word. After that we save our document in our folder. Last meeting, we turned our computer and opened -My Computer- rightclick the Local Disk (C:) and click the properties- click Tools tab and we also opened the Control Panel. But in our computer, it doesnt appeared because there is an system properties said that it was unauthorized so Sir Pablo showed it on the projector and all the listed of it were example of Utilities so we jot down it. After that, we also listed the examples of Application Software. Sir Pablo explained also the difference of right and click button that right button pops out the list of utilities on that menu while left button is selecting something usually a certain file. After that, we turned off our computer.

VIII. CONCLUSION
After the activity, I conclude that all the listed in objectives were confirmed that we were able to operate BIOS Program of the PC assigned to me, determine the operating system and applications programs installed in the PC assigned to me and we also use the operating system and MS Word application program installed.
